A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

+ Work as a team with Project Manager, Design Hub Personnel, District / Region contacts and FAO groups to optimally move project through the IPSEC process.

+ Process reviewed Developer project submittals prior to submitting to New Development Planning Hubs.

+ Ensure complete and accurate data entry into Design Manager, SharePoint, and Project Tracker systems.

+ Schedule work orders with District or Region crews as advised by Project Manager.

+ Work with Project Manager in reviewing milestone reports and performance reports to keep tract of project status, work expectations to ensure timelines and goals are being met.

+ Review of inactive work orders with Project Manager and ensuring accurate closing out or canceling of work orders.

+ Regularly adjusts to changing workloads and priorities and follow up as vital on multiple projects with minimal direction.

Qualifications

The essentials

+ Three or more years’ experience with working in a project management or project management support role.

The preferred

+ Bachelor’s Degree.

+ Three or more years’ experience with working with Microsoft Office.

+ Two or more years of experience working with residential building projects.

+ Proven experience with prioritizing multiple projects and assignments concurrently.

+ Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive.

+ The position’s work mode is remote .Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs. • Manage numerous complex, critical, and sensitive design projects from inception to construction completion for projects that are designed by contractors and/or SCE with follow-through on policies, procedures, rules, rates, completion dates, and ensuring compliance of electrical designs.
• Define the scope and operational requirements for preparation of preliminary electrical and civil design including necessary permits, environmental requirements, and coordination for eventual construction.
• Prepare and review work order documents, work order drawings, and complete final work order packages.
• Forward completed work order packages to sponsor organization and updating all internal systems as required.
• Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams from customers, drafting technicians and engineers to other utilities, local governments, and construction crews.
• Act as a mentor to provide guidance and instruction to other team members.
• Occasional lifting of typically less than 20 lbs.

Qualifications

The essentials
• Five or more years of experience in electrical utility distribution service planning or equivalent position in substation, transmission, or generation.
• A valid U.S. Driver's License.

The preferred
• Advanced experience with electric utility engineering principles, construction standards, and industry practices.
• Managed multiple critical projects with project management principles, tools, and techniques effectively under tight time constraints, shifting priorities, and making critical decisions with minimal supervision.
• Fluent with CAD based designs to analyze or design engineered civil drawings.
• Determined scope of work, method of service, and construction methods for overhead and underground facilities.
• Experience as senior staff, providing leadership, direction, training and mentoring to staff.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients' business needs.

You should know
• This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
• May be requested to work on call during emergent situations and/or overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

The essentials
• Five or more years of combined experience supervising and/or leading a team and/or project management experience in an electrical utility distribution service Planning role or in a substation, transmission, or generation Planning role.
• A valid US Driver's License.

The preferred
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience working in Transmission & Distribution.
• Project Management Certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience prioritizing workload and strategically delegating and supervising the progress of assignments and holding employees accountable for results.

• This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
