General Role and Responsibilities:
The Data and Reporting Specialist primarily manages PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) and Schoology Learning Management System, including but not limited to training of end users, creating, and maintaining training materials, research and implementing new modules, integration of other data and educational systems, and daily assistance for end users... Responsible for preparing, collaborating, and submitting state and federal reports.
Must have thorough knowledge of data management, data quality, PowerSchool Student Information System and K-12 Education. The individual must apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to resolve end user problems in a timely manner with accuracy.
General Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience with PowerSchool SIS and Schoology LMS
• Knowledge of Indiana Department of Education reporting and online applications
• Highly skilled in the use of databases, spreadsheets, and word processing software to aggregate, disaggregate, organize, and report data.
• Team contributor while working alone in a collaborative environment
• Strong customer service-oriented mindset
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and work independently
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the phone
• Ability to present ideas
Specific Responsibilities in This Position:
• Coordinate, maintain, train and support (not limited to) PowerSchool SIS, Schoology LMS, state reporting and other data and learning applications
• Ensure integrity, correct and up-to-date information is entered into PowerSchool for district and state standards, and perform routine data verification for accuracy
• Create and maintain documentation and train staff in procedures related to data entry and reporting
• Create and modify reports from PowerSchool
• Create and modify digital forms
• Assist Technology Department as required or when necessary
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Specific Skills and Knowledge for this position:
• Experience working with PowerSchool SIS operation and maintenance
• Knowledge of Indiana State Reporting Requirements
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google for Education, SQL, Oracle, and HTML5
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Experience with PowerSchool and state reporting
Personal Attributes Desired:
