You Will:
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via email, slack or in person. You will own our Jira Helpdesk queue - this is one of the most important, customer facing roles. You should take pride in your work and ensure you give our customers the best possible experience every single time.
• Walk customers through the problem-solving process, following up and updating customer status and Jira tickets as needed, ensuring a smooth process and a timely resolution
• Actively seek solutions to issues via existing documentation, google-fu, team collaboration - you need to own your tickets and ensure customers get what they need
• Escalate issues to the next level of IT support personnel when necessary - be a quarterback between the customer and the escalation point.
• Actively identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures, process, and documentation. We want you to invest into improving how our team operates internally
You Have:
• Must be proficient with macOS and Apple hardware, Scribd is an Apple shop
• Proven experience as a helpdesk technician or other customer support role
• Proactively identify and address technical issues across the company
• Capable of reading technical documentation to perform deployments/configurations
• Design, update, and maintain IT documentation
• Help maintain physical inventory of IT hardware (computers, peripherals, and accessories)
• Support live and streaming video events, record and archive events, maintain AV systems across Scribd globally
• Assist with IT onboarding process and training curriculum
• Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented, cool-tempered and work well under pressure
Knowledge of Technical Systems:
• Google G-Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Meet)
• Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence)
• Any IDP (Okta, OneLogin, Centrify, Ping, or similar)

In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $143,000 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $212,750 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].
Outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $117,500 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $202,000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
