Join our team supporting Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines Private Internal Medicine group. Working together, you'll bring your LVN expertise, compassion and excellence to all we do. The ideal LVN will enjoy personalized interaction with our patients coordinating details on appointments and working with other departments within the Clinic.
The LVN performs patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate. Educates patients and documents patient interactions. Practices infection control. Contributes to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.
Required

The primary duties of the Clinical Lead (LVN) include:
• Responsible for providing technical support to Medical Assistant and LVN staff in a clinic site or physician module to include training, assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures, management of day to day staff coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care, staff performance management, and to serve as a mentor to staff.
• Responsible for covering multiple positions and departments, as well as mentoring new and existing staff on clinical processes and procedures.
• Responsible for review of new and existing staff documentation and charge documents for completion and accuracy.
• Practice within the scope of a LVN and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certifications:
• Current LVN CA license
• BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certifications:
• 1 year of experience working in an outpatient setting
• Previous training experience and leadership skills

• Producing a variety of correspondence and reports.
• Maintaining appointment calendars. This is a Part Time (40 hours every two weeks) benefited position, working 8 hour shifts on varied days, including some weekends.
