Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring employees understand the policies, benefit plans, and enrollment provisions. In addition, completes all new hire paperwork and ensure compliance with I9 verification.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
Use human resources management system software and personnel file to prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
Assists Lead Human Resources Representative with the development and implementation of employee relations programs.
Provide management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
Participates in staff meetings as needed and attends other meetings and seminars.
Assists in ensuring all employees' compliance with human resources programs and procedures.
Manages all Workers’ compensation and safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
Up to 50% interagency travel as required.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in human resources or business-related field preferred.
SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.
3 years of experience in HR generalist role supporting multiple locations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong working knowledge of state and federal labor/wage and hour laws.
Knowledge of principles & practices of HR, including employment law & compliance requirements.
Highly approachable with advanced organizational agility and influencing skills.
Ability to gain credibility, build trust, and partner with business leaders.
Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations with confidence and resilience.
