Filling this critical role is an integral part of Sentinel’s growth plan and the successful candidate will have demonstrated that they are among a very small group of elite sales professionals in our industry. An ability to demonstrate a track record of hunting and initiating new direct contacts and developing those contacts into new prospects and Centers of Influence is critical for the successful candidate.

Our Retirement Plan Advisory team works with Plan Sponsors in a fiduciary capacity. We do more than provide investment expertise, plan management resources and 3(21) and 3(38) advisory services—we take the time to understand our client’s business and relate to their concerns. Our independent team of accredited investment advisors follows industry best practices for fiduciary governance when advising clients. As a CEFEX certified firm, Sentinel Pension Advisors undergoes a rigorous, annual audit to ensure we are doing the job right for our clients. From due diligence, fee benchmarking, and ERISA regulatory compliance to monitoring investments and tracking plan performance, our fiduciary governance services help manage fiduciary risk for our clients while improving overall plan performance for plan participants. The right candidate not only has expertise and experience needed, but the ability to lead, train, and motivate their peers and clients.

What you'll bring to Sentinel:
• A passion for consulting and connecting with clients

• DC/DB consulting experience including plan design and documents

What you’ll be responsible for:
• Identify and research potential clients, including businesses and employers seeking retirement plan solutions
• Initiate contact through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other lead generation methods
• Build business by establishing relationships with current and prospective clients and educate them to understand Sentinel’s full range of services
• Work closely with marketing department as liaison on client/prospect events and email campaigns, etc.
• Design and present tailored retirement plan proposals that align with the client's company size, objectives, and employee requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the proposed plans adhere to compliance and regulatory standards
• Stay informed about industry trends, retirement plan regulations, and changes in the DC/DB landscape to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to clients

The Purpose of Your Role:

In this role, you will learn how to nurture leads to a sales-ready state. What you'll bring to Sentinel

Ability to qualify groups of prospects using telephone, email, social media and other technologies prior to passing them along to sales reps
Partner with Marketing on conceptualization and implementation on a range of inbound and outbound campaigns such as email, direct mail, SEO and lead nurturing
Become an expert at using lead generation tools to generate lists of target prospect accounts
Qualify prospects based on their current business challenges and needs using targeted and relevant questions
Develop an understanding of the account’s business issues and other relevant information

Successful completion of Series 65 and Life, Accident & Health licenses, Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF), and Section 125 certifications

Conduct research on accounts by using Google, LinkedIn and other tools
Create and maintain weekly forecasts that track and measure lead qualification metrics
Track and manage prospecting and nurturing activities in Infor (CRM platform)
Implement best practices for leads database to increase data integrity and market reach
Execute database and telemarketing programs to increase attendance at upcoming events, seminars, and to create awareness for current product promotions to target audiences
Ability to interpret data from Act-On to personalize outbound communications
Tenacity to weather the multiple “no’s” you will hear before hearing a “yes”
Ability to use existing and emerging social media tools to monitor targeted accounts and prospects, and identify trigger events for follow-up
