The role

As a member of the Digital and Events Customer Service team, you will be engaging with top universities across the globe through both proactive and reactive communication with their admissions and recruitment departments. You will expertly guide clients through the administrative and logistical elements of the QS Digital & Event administration and delivery processes, and work cross-functionally to manage client issues and opportunities.

This role plays key part in delivery of our Events product portfolio and requires someone with a passion for higher education industry, a service-oriented attitude and who is committed to provide world class customer service to all stakeholders. This role is client facing and involves account management, customer service, problem resolution and knowledge of the higher education sector.
• All aspects of Client Relationship Management from pre-sales support, onboarding and ongoing leadership to support the delivery of exceptional customer experience and revenue growth.
• Cross functional internal liaison to facilitate the support of clients across the portfolio of products.
• Event delivery support for physical, virtual and hybrid events as required including client system familiarisation and training.
• Optimisation of event experiences for all QS Digital & Event bookings.

Role responsibilities:
• Managing and maintaining the client relationship throughout the year to ensure that they are achieving maximum returns from QS products
• Developing the relationship with clients to enable recommendation of additional products based on knowledge of client objectives and product performance
• Working with Sales to execute a smooth onboarding process for clients
• Working with the Event Operations team to propose new strategies, services and solutions to existing and potential clients
• Managing day-to-day communications with institutions regarding QS products and services they purchased
• Resolving and reporting on client interaction and issues
• Preparing client ROI reports and monitoring client success to maintain and increase revenue
• Deliver where needed, pre-and post-event, post-booking communication to clients, manage their expectations and guiding them through the delivery process
• Assist Finance Department to collect payments, resolve any issues and improve the invoicing process where required
• Updating client records, sales orders, reports and any changes in a CRM system
• Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise in international higher education
• Administrative and operational support for our scholarships programme – including but not limited to managing email correspondence, owning the approvals process for school scholarships, updating information on scholarships such as making sure school adverts are visible on the website, managing scholarship winners
• Providing client support at our student recruitment events as required – including international travel as necessary
• Other assigned duties as required

Key skills and experience:

Essential
• Evidence of providing outstanding service/support to clients
• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of CRM software eg Netsuite, Hubspot
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent reporting and analytical skills
• Process oriented and an ability to work in a structured way
• The ability to work at pace and scale – we deliver over 300 events a year
• A great eye for process improvement and the ability to recommend and implement service improvements
• Ability to engage comfortably clients face to face in both formal and more informal settings
• Meticulous administration skills

Desirable
• Bachelors/first degree in a relevant subject
• Customer service qualification
• Fluency in French (written and oral)

The role

QS is seeking an Events Manager, with drive and passion who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and at the same time has fun with the process. A team player at heart, this role will be based out of Americas or Europe, delivering a year-round selection of events serving the international higher education sector, across the world. The successful candidate will be an organised individual with a lot of initiative. A self-starter who loves working with the Microsoft Office features (Word, Excel etc). You must be able to complete a wide range of activities, requiring clear communication and excellent organizational skills and must be able to adapt and respond quickly to changes, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all events. This role is in the professional services division of QS, providing leading services to universities for branding, conferences, data analytics, evaluation tools and software.

This role will report directly to the Executive Producer [Americas & Europe] and offer flexible working arrangements.

Experience working with the HE sector would be useful but not essential and an experience in events management or publishing would be useful.

Role responsibilities:
• Support the Executive Producer [Americas & Europe] and team on event planning, budget, strategy, and development, to organize planned &/or sponsored events.
• Assist in the design of the event experience, ensuring a high-quality level of delivery in support of the event's strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Work closely with publication team to draft content for event website, invitation letter, marketing promotions, program brief and social media platforms.
• Liaising with hosts, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, visitors and internally on logistic aspects
• Interact with key decisions makers and account holders.
• Host meetings with internal and/or external parties to communicate & tie up for event deliveries.
• Work with in-house designer to ensure event information is accurately represented.
• Develop and improve the stakeholder experience in future events.
• Manage and liaise with vendors for quotation, logistic/services requirement, onsite setup, and delivery of the required logistic/services.
• Assist in the management of event websites, CRM system, EDM and weekly newsletter.
• Some travel will be required – up to 30 percent of your time will be spent traveling to various events.
• Scope outside the above listed will be required from time to time as team needs to adapt to changing environment e.g. digital deliveries.

Key skills and experience:
• Educated to university degree level.
• Experienced in event marketing, ideally in event industry with capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven experience carrying out event marketing efforts, including trade show planning, attendance, and reporting.
• Experience partnering with an enterprise sales team.
• Ability to handle pressure, multi-task, and work within tight schedules/deadlines.
• Highly organized with an ability to manage resources, budgets, and onsite personnel.
• Strong communication skills – written and oral.
• You are creative, innovative, and always think outside the box.
• Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects with tight timelines.
• Excellent Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly desirable but not required.

QS is seeking an experienced event manager to serve as Executive Producer, based out of Americas or Europe for our conferences across the world, focusing on Western Hemisphere & Europe as the team grows. The role will be to manage a growing team of event professionals to deliver a year-round selection of events serving the international higher education sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in event management and will be able to demonstrate good people management skills as well as a history of delivering successful events. The role is in the professional services division of QS providing leading services to universities for branding, conferences, data analytics, evaluation tools and software. This role will report directly to the Head of Conferences & Branding Solutions.

Experience working with the HE sector could be useful but not essential and an experience in events management or publishing would be useful.

The role can be remote, in office (where applicable), or hybrid.

Role responsibilities:
• Managing and development of global events teams.
• Deliver, with the team, 10+ world class HE conferences worldwide with a focus on those in the Western Hemisphere & Europe.
