The Arts and Culture Team is looking to hire a friendly and fun beginner piano instructor who has a passion for connecting youth communities (ages 6 12) through music to work at the .

Classes will be held on Wednesday and / or Thursday evenings, with the potential to expand to other class times after the fall programming season.

Activity Leaders and Piano Instructors are paid $19.67 / hour.

Instructors lead classes of 4-12 participants through a preset schedule of weekly sessions to become familiar and confident in the topic area of choice.

Arts and Culture programming offers instructors the opportunity to teach a variety of age groups in recreation centers throughout the city.

As a Beginner Piano Instructor, you will :

Create, plan, implement, and instruct piano classes for Denver’s youth communities

Setup before and breakdown / cleanup after each class

Respond to class-specific inquiries from participants and community members

Collect and report feedback to the Arts & Culture Program Coordinators for future programming improvement

About You

Arts and Culture instructors must have a passion and knowledge of arts and culture activities and should possess strong skills in communication and organization.

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about connecting communities and sparking creativity.

Additionally, our ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following :

Associate degree or higher in music or a related field

Expertise in the area you will be instructing

Experience working with all age groups and diverse communities

Prior experience planning, managing, or coordinating music programs

Current CPR / First Aid Certification

Bilingual skills preferred, but not required

Education : Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.

Experience : Two (2) years of experience (paid or volunteer) as an instructor in an organized specialized formal program.

Licensures / Certification(s) : Requires certification in CPR / First Aid at the time of application or prior to completion of probation period.

Licensure and certification must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Equivalency : A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements

Responsibilities
• Perform Cage Wash duties – including cleaning caging and equipment and daily maintenance of cage wash areas and equipment (washers and sterilizers)
• Decontamination and sanitation of support areas and hallways.
• Ensure all caging and equipment is set up and ready for use for the following day’s cage change‐outs.
• Record keeping – Maintain daily rooms records for cage wash areas, also including Quality Control records for cage wash equipment (washers and sterilizers).
• Perform Husbandry duties – Performing health checks on lab animals in the facility (including biohazard, quarantine, specialized housing: hypoxia, telemetry, etc.) changing lab animal caging and equipment and maintaining lab animal room sanitation.
• Reporting lab animal welfare issues including identifying and documenting sick and dead lab animals, overcrowded cages, and new litters; and limited assistance in treatments including giving pills in with food, administering ointments, and observing/recording activity.
• Decontamination and Sanitation of lab animal and procedure rooms and support areas.
• Record keeping – Maintain daily lab animal and room records, lab animal census, lab animal cage cards and protocol door sheets.
• Perform other husbandry tasks as needed, such as distribution of dietary,hydration, hay and/or toy supplementation, change out gas cylinders, preparing regulated medical waste for pick‐up, etc.
• Miscellaneous other job‐related tasks and duties assigned as may be necessary in support of general husbandry functions.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• AALAS certification at the ALAT level or comparable experience, preferred.
• 6 months experience in lab animal or a related field, preferred.

Physical & Environmental Demands:
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., ability to stand on your feet for at least 90‐minute intervals, ability to use step ladder, and the ability to follow all required safety procedures, including wearing all required PersonalProtection Equipment (PPE).
• Will be required to work holidays, Holy days, and weekends on a rotation basis.

full-time, temp-to-hire Welders to their team. They will provide you the
training you need to grow your beginner welding skills to expert level!

In this role, you will be working on a team of 3-5 people to
assemble the back box section of moving trucks. This is a physical position in
a high energy atmosphere, where you will build 2-3 box trucks per day.

They're looking for people who have done some welding as a hobby, in a shop class or were exposed to it at another job. You’ll enjoy a 4-day work week (3-day weekends!), hands-on
training, & weekly pay.
