SkuVault is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our US team!
The Senior DevOps Engineer will help SkuVault accelerate a DevOps practice by building components that manage infrastructure as code, creating new tools using a cloud-first approach, and building repeatable provisioning processes across environments.
Candidates should be able to diagnose networking and configuration issues, demonstrate an initiative for professional development, and can manage and deploy containers in an orchestrated environment. SkuVault is looking for leaders who can collaborate across teams to develop new and innovative solutions for our customers.
This role is open to candidates currently residing in the US. Candidates must be able to work for any employer in the US without visa sponsorship.
The SkuVault Tech Stack:
SkuVault is a B2B SaaS provider that integrates with a number of partners to help our eCommerce customers maintain inventory, orders, and replenishment to help their business seamlessly grow. SkuVault is embracing a decoupled architecture that scales across commodity cloud resources, building towards continuous delivery and rapid iteration.
Some of the technologies SkuVault leverages include Azure, EventStoreDB, LMDB, Nginx, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Elasticsearch, Docker, and Kibana.
Key responsibilities include:
• Creating new deployment templates
• Building new scripts and tools using cloud CLIs
• Building repeatable provisioning processes across environments
• Diagnosing network, security, and configuration issues in a virtual private cloud
• Container orchestration
• Providing constructive feedback on team code, templates, and scripts
• Builds proofs of concept to test new ideas and technologies
• Providing feedback on cost and performance optimization
• Diagnosing customer reported issues using distributed logging and telemetry
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or vocational degree in computer science, information sciences, software engineering, data center administration or a related field.
• Three or more years of experience in a DevOps practice using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless, Azure Resource Manager.
• Three or more years of experience with continuous delivery practices that promote code across environments. Experience with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins is a plus.
• Understanding of core networking concepts in order to provide application firewalling, isolation, and least-privileged access.
• Three or more years of experience with production management of applications within a major cloud provider (such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Understanding of application monitoring within virtual machines or containers for databases, custom applications, and web gateways.
