Primary Purpose
Provides technical operations support for the Operational Technology (OT), Gas Storage Network (GSN), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Industrial Control System (ICS) and associated components such as servers, workstations, Programmable Logical Controller (PLCs), instrumentation, Human Machine Interface (HMIs), switches, radios, applications, and operating systems. Provides operations and maintenance client support. Project support, development, and implementation. Conducts analysis such as annual operations plan, competitive analysis, and economic feasibility studies.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops, maintains, supports and operates local and wide area network equipment, applications and process documentation. Independently troubleshoots SCADA system issues under tight timeframes, identifies root causes of incidents and problems for which solutions require creativity. Works and directs appropriate resources to minimize system downtime. Fully accountable for all aspects of resolution.
• Provides technical assistance to clients through the support of programs, technology and strategic applications. Maintains, administers, and enhances a WAN and LAN environment comprised of servers and workstations at the storage fields. Independently works with Gas Storage field and staff technicians and engineers to complete and ensure proper installation and commissioning of telemetric measurement equipment. Provides system administration activities on Windows servers and workstations.
• Plans, coordinates and supports project implementation and hand off to clients. Develops enhancements for and maintains an operational and control real-time database for automation and measurement, using telemetry devices, protocols and services. Ensures safe, smooth, reliable and uninterrupted daily 24 hour, 7 days a week critical infrastructure SCADA system operations for high pressure storage field facilities pipelines and station facilities operated by Southern California Gas. Designs and maintains Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for use by Storage Field Operation staff.
• Serves as a consultant and project leader on special teams, utilizing individual skills and teamwork to resolve issues.
• Develops and provides training to co-workers and clients.
• Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.

Experience

Primary Purpose
Acts in a lead role in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of full cycle of data services – integration/transport, processing and/or visualization – and associated systems to support the analytics needs of data/business analysts or data scientists. Consults with and provides technical guidance to business partners, IT peer teams, regarding data requirements, design, processes and technical solutions. Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead efforts to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines and processing systems to analytics applications. Lead small data analytics projects or initiatives. Manage the data catalog, metadata repository and any associated data management efforts. Work with vendor partners and/or coach peers to ensure data analytics solutions are designed and developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices. Develops short- and long- term solutions to prepare data (gather, integrate, clean) for threat evaluations and risk analytics. Create processes for risk data ingestion, visualization, and management.
• Solution development and support; Compile data requirements, perform data analysis and logical data modeling, define data and object elements. Build and scale data ingestion and transformation processes, to include batch (ETL, ELT), streaming, and/or virtualization. Build datasets, tools and documentation to enable analysts in all parts of the company to build their own analytics and reports. Design, build and implement applications to visualize performance data to enable actionable operational improvements. Provide after-hours support on a rotation basis.
• Collaboration/Continuous Improvement: Expand and continuously improve knowledge of business subject areas/data domain. Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Lead and/or participate with IT staff, business/vendor partners, and other stakeholders in new product reviews, tests, and pilots. Foster and maintain good relationships with business partners, IT colleagues, Threat and Risk Assessment team, Enterprise Assest Management, and vendor partners. • Provides high level technical support to management in the following:
