• The Director of Recruiting and Branding Strategy position is responsible for creating and implementing all aspects of the recruiting and branding efforts for a high-level Division 1 women's basketball program under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will assist the women's basketball program with carrying out the athletic department and team's mission statement to recruit and retain the best student-athletes for the University of Oklahoma. This includes building individual strategic plans for marketing and branding for potential and current student-athletes, developing relationships with influencers, and marketing and branding for the OU Women's Basketball program for the purpose of recruiting and individual brand development. Sooner Vision, the in-house video production arm of OU Athletics, is seeking a candidate that is not only passionate about sports, but also creative motion arts. The Director of Motion Graphics & Video Design will serve as the primary lead on the graphical creative planning and execution of Sooner Vision's annual in-venue productions. These productions include traditional in-venue post-production content such as 'Intro Videos', 'Starting Lineups' and 'Game Matchups' while also extending to sponsor-driven elements such as 'Replay Animations', 'Crowd Prompts', 'Interactive Features'. As needed, the position also assists in internal assets such as promotional campaigns.

Emphasizing the importance and primary focus of the position, 'Intro-Video' & 'Starting Lineup' creation experience will be the primary responsibility of the position. It is imperative that the candidate has an ability to adapt to a wide array of creative stylings in support of various sport programs. The candidate should expect to produce content for the following teams:

Sooner Vision, the in-house video production arm of OU Athletics, is seeking a candidate that is not only passionate about sports, but also creative motion arts. The Director of Motion Graphics & Video Design will serve as the primary lead on the graphical creative planning and execution of Sooner Vision's annual in-venue productions. These productions include traditional in-venue... post-production content such as 'Intro Videos', 'Starting Lineups' and 'Game Matchups' while also extending to sponsor-driven elements such as 'Replay Animations', 'Crowd Prompts', 'Interactive Features'. As needed, the position also assists in internal assets such as promotional campaigns.
Emphasizing the importance and primary focus of the position, 'Intro-Video' & 'Starting Lineup' creation experience will be the primary responsibility of the position. It is imperative that the candidate has an ability to adapt to a wide array of creative stylings in support of various sport programs. The candidate should expect to produce content for the following teams:
• Football
• Men's & Women's Basketball
• Men's & Women's Gymnastics
• Wrestling
• Volleyball

Working alongside the Director of Big Screens and the Creative Director, the individual will provide video design direction and be responsible for motion graphic development and creation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to storyboard design elements and concepts prior to production. Further, the ideal candidate will also assist in the in-camera design direction and filming of planned video shoots.
While the candidate will have creative freedom to work with the software of their choosing, the candidate will be expected to have a strong 3D and motion design background in programs similar to After Effects & Cinema 4D.
As with other members of the staff, the Director of Motion Graphics & Video Design would serve as a key mentor for our student worker (Production Assistant) program. This program is designed to expose students to all areas of collegiate video production and encourage growth and development in one or more of the core areas including Big Screen, Digital & Broadcast. As the senior-experienced staffer in motion animation, the candidate will serve a key mentorship role in this regard.

The Athletic Department has 8 venues with LED video displays and supports 19 varsity sport programs. Job Requirements
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, or related field, AND:
• 48 months experience working in television production.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months related experience.
Skills:
• Adobe Creative Suite or similar video production tools
• 3D Motion Animation
• Live Event / In-Venue Production
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
• Strong initiative to solve problems in a timely manner
• Advanced knowledge of video or audio editing
• Knowledge in general television show production
Certifications:
• Valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire date.
