Job Description
• The Director of Recruiting and Branding Strategy position is responsible for creating and implementing all aspects of the recruiting and branding efforts for a high-level Division 1 women's basketball program under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will assist the women's basketball program with carrying out the athletic department and team's mission statement to recruit and retain the best student-athletes for the University of Oklahoma. This includes building individual strategic plans for marketing and branding for potential and current student-athletes, developing relationships with influencers, and marketing and branding for the OU Women's Basketball program for the purpose of recruiting and individual brand development. They will also be responsible for implementing and executing recruitment marketing and correspondence, which includes social media and all forms of creative content. They will also serve as the liaison for NIL, marketing, ticket sales, Sooner Club/Varsity O, and Sooner Sports Properties (SSP) departments. They are charged with working independently as well as collaboratively on projects designed to support the competitive success of the Basketball Program.

Essential Functions:
Marketing and Game Presentation:
• Develop and implement marketing, promotions, and game production plans to increase ticket sales, game attendance and fan experience elements for the following sports:
• Volleyball, Wrestling, Men’s & Women’s Tennis and other sport(s) as assigned.
• Intern/GA oversight for other sport(s) as assigned based on departmental staffing needs.
• Coordination of collateral production for designated sports with Athletics Graphic Design as a part of each programs marketing and promotions plan.
• Assist the Associate Athletics Director and whole marketing staff with the planning, coordination and implementation of all football game day activities and promotions including but not limited to:
• Team Arrival (Walk of Champions)
• FanFest tailgate area (Party at the Palace)
• Public Address
• SoonerVision
• Ingame promotions and giveaways
• Invenue presentations sponsored by the University and/or the Athletics Department
• Marching Band performances
• Spirit – Cheerleaders, Pom Squad and Mascots
• All other game day related activities
• Oversee game entertainment for Volleyball, Wrestling, & Men’s & Women’s Tennis bringing new and fresh elements to customer relations and the ingame fan experience.
Student Section (Boom Squad):
• Lead Student Section Leaders and Initiatives to help drive Student attendance at all OU Athletics Events.
• Strategize and develop giveaway plan to maximize budget while creating a visual impact on the game atmosphere.
• Work with student groups on campus to promote OU Athletics and drive their involvement and attendance at OU Athletics Events.
• Work with Digital Strategy team on enhancing the Boom Squad Student Section social media presence to promote OU Athletics and drive engagement.
Sooner Jr. Kids Club:
• Assist the Director of Fan Engagement & Community Relations with the continued development and marketing efforts of the Sooner Jr. Kids Club.
• Assist with creating unique events and experiences related to the Sooner Jr. Kids Club membership.
• Assist with ideating the Sooner Jr. Kids Club kit elements and design.
Grassroots Marketing & Advertising:
• Assist in the execution, scheduling, creative development of advertising related to assigned sports.
• Lead the grassroots marketing efforts for gameday awareness of OU Athletics Events and development plan for interns to execute.
Administration:
• Assist with sponsorship fulfillment responsibilities related to Sooner Sports Properties (Learfield Property) and other thirdparty agreements related to assigned sports.
• Assist with ticket sales campaign coordination related to IMG/Learfield Ticket Solutions and other thirdparty agreements related to assigned sports.
• Assist with overseeing the marketing internship program and staff of 15+ undergraduate students and gameday marketing staff who help us with office hours and event execution.
• Assist with the intern hires.
• Assist with the creation and oversight of intern schedule and training.
• Assist with the construction of career development opportunities for all interns.
• Maintain knowledge of the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and The University of Oklahoma. Know, understand, and reinforce commitment to NCAA and Big 12 rules, and report violations or suspected violations to the Athletics Compliance Department.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Job Requirements
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree.
Skills:
• Communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the Department, the University, and the community.
• Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned tasks as both a leader and/or a follower.
• Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, Fans, studentathletes, coaches, and administrators.
• Strong game production experience.
• Handle multiple tasks in a high stress environment.
• Efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Certifications:
• Driver license to operate Community Relations vehicle.

Departmental Preferences:

The Director of Motion Graphics & Video Design will serve as the primary lead on the graphical creative planning and execution of Sooner Vision's annual in-venue productions. These productions include traditional in-venue post-production content such as 'Intro Videos', 'Starting Lineups' and 'Game Matchups' while also extending to sponsor-driven elements such as 'Replay Animations', 'Crowd Prompts', 'Interactive Features'. As needed, the position also assists in internal assets such as promotional campaigns.
Emphasizing the importance and primary focus of the position, 'Intro-Video' & 'Starting Lineup' creation experience will be the primary responsibility of the position. It is imperative that the candidate has an ability to adapt to a wide array of creative stylings in support of various sport programs. Sooner Vision, the in-house video production arm of OU Athletics, is seeking a candidate that is not only passionate about sports, but also creative motion arts. The Director of Motion Graphics & Video Design will serve as the primary lead on the graphical creative planning and execution of Sooner Vision's annual in-venue productions. These productions include traditional in-venue... post-production content such as 'Intro Videos', 'Starting Lineups' and 'Game Matchups' while also extending to sponsor-driven elements such as 'Replay Animations', 'Crowd Prompts', 'Interactive Features'. As needed, the position also assists in internal assets such as promotional campaigns.
Emphasizing the importance and primary focus of the position, 'Intro-Video' & 'Starting Lineup' creation experience will be the primary responsibility of the position. It is imperative that the candidate has an ability to adapt to a wide array of creative stylings in support of various sport programs. The candidate should expect to produce content for the following teams:
• Football
• Men's & Women's Basketball
• Men's & Women's Gymnastics
• Wrestling
• Volleyball
• Soccer
• Baseball
• Softball
Working alongside the Director of Big Screens and the Creative Director, the individual will provide video design direction and be responsible for motion graphic development and creation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to storyboard design elements and concepts prior to production. Further, the ideal candidate will also assist in the in-camera design direction and filming of planned video shoots.
While the candidate will have creative freedom to work with the software of their choosing, the candidate will be expected to have a strong 3D and motion design background in programs similar to After Effects & Cinema 4D.
As with other members of the staff, the Director of Motion Graphics & Video Design would serve as a key mentor for our student worker (Production Assistant) program. This program is designed to expose students to all areas of collegiate video production and encourage growth and development in one or more of the core areas including Big Screen, Digital & Broadcast. As the senior-experienced staffer in motion animation, the candidate will serve a key mentorship role in this regard.

Sooner Vision is a 3-time winner for "Best Overall - College" at the IDEA Golden Matrix Awards and the only college to ever win "Best Show Open" amongst all categories. The Athletic Department has 8 venues with LED video displays and supports 19 varsity sport programs. Sooner Vision is also home to Sooner Vision on ESPN+, which broadcasts 100+ live events and studio shows annually on the ESPN network. Sooner Vision also supports the Athletic Department's digital / social channels and is consistently ranked in the Top-10 amongst numerous programs.

Job Requirements
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, or related field, AND:
• 48 months experience working in television production.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months related experience.
Skills:
• Adobe Creative Suite or similar video production tools
• 3D Motion Animation
• Live Event / In-Venue Production
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
• Strong initiative to solve problems in a timely manner
• Advanced knowledge of video or audio editing
• Knowledge in general television show production
Certifications:
• Valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA and Big 12 rules
• Collegiate Athletics Experience
