REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS include:

1. An earned doctorate in educational leadership, educational administration, or related field;

2. A minimum of three (3) years of experience as an assistant principal, principal, central office supervisor, assistant superintendent, or superintendent, or any combination thereof.

For assistant professor position:

1. Two (2+) years of successful experience at an accredited institution of higher education;

2. evidence of scholarly productivity in peer-reviewed academic journals;

3. emerging evidence of a cohesive research agenda;

4. evidence of / plan to seek external funding for research and training grants;

5. demonstrated experience providing graduate-level instruction;

6. ability to provide instruction in face-to-face, hybrid, or fully online formats;

7. demonstrated experience in providing advising to graduate students;

For associate professor position:

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS for either level include:

1. Leadership involvement in professional organizations related to PK-12 leadership.

2. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: quantitative research methods, school finance, school law, and/or a related field within educational leadership.

3. Experience in Ed.D. programs.

THE DEPARTMENT OF LTE currently has 15 full-time tenure track faculty, four non-tenure track instructional faculty members, and two staff members providing instruction and training for undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking certification to prepare them for professional responsibilities in PK-16 schools. LTE offers certification and non-certification programs in Educational Leadership at the master’s, specialist, and Ed.D. levels. Undergraduate programs include specialization in Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, and Special Education. The Department also offers graduate programs in Early Childhood, Elementary, Reading, Secondary, Special Education, and English for Speakers of Other Languages.

The Departments of Physiology and Cell Biology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine are jointly seeking to fill one research-intensive tenure accruing position at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor dedicated to the study of ligament, tendon or cartilage injury, repair, prevention and post traumatic osteoarthritis. The candidate will collaborate with existing programs and labs in the College of Medicine Department of Physiology and Cell Biology, Department of Pharmacology, and the College of Engineering at University of South Alabama. Orthopaedic program interests include the study of sports and trauma musculoskeletal injury, knee ligament injury prevention and risk, bioinformatics, musculoskeletal, and mitochondrial biology, biomedical imaging, mechanics, and modeling. Successful candidates will have research programs that complement these ongoing efforts, and they will contribute to the college’s graduate and medical education mission. We are seeking individuals who are highly engaged and work well with basic and clinical collaborators, with exceptional written and oral communication skills. As a member of the CBBL team, this position will lead the integration of regular assessment practices into the culture of the organization, ensuring shared actions toward strategic goals related to library operations. The librarian in this position will actively plan, develop, and implement library-wide assessment programs and initiatives that enable continuous review, evaluation, and improvement of programs and services and foster a culture of assessment and data-driven practices. They will also serve as the Biomedical Library’s collections representative, working cooperatively and strategically with the Assistant University Librarian for Collections. The Assistant Librarian in Assessment and Collections will apply usage statistics and other assessment data to identify needs, evaluate current and potential licenses, and to support renewals, alternative access options, and withdrawal. They will be involved in library, professional and university service; professional development and scholarly activities that will lead professional growth; fostering an accessible, inclusive, welcoming and safe environment; supporting USA Libraries values of service, collaboration, communication, professionalism, and adaptability; and performs other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment
• Coordinate library-wide assessment programs and activities.
• Identify appropriate assessment methodologies and tools, coordinate and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and document assessment results for diverse stakeholders to support strategic objectives and connect the library’s value to university goals and mission.
• Collect data and analyze trends by soliciting feedback from library users and non-users to facility evidence-based decision making.
• Build capacity for assessment through training and mentoring activities to develop expertise, knowledge and skills in assessment.
• Act as a point of contact for support on assessment projects, providing technical expertise in a selection of assessment measures and the use and application of relevant software.
• Stay abreast of library assessment research, models and tools and help to integrate assessment and quality improvement practices within the library.

Collections
• Advise on the selection, acquisition, and promotion of the library’s collections which are developed to support curriculum and faculty and student research.
• Negotiate purchase and renewal terms of e-resource subscription packages with vendors
• Provide expertise in collection assessment and analysis, and in project management.
• Lead collection space planning efforts, coordinating closely with the Circulation department.
• Develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, colleagues, faculty and staff.

Overall
• Serve as library liaison/embedded librarian to designated health science departments, providing reference service and instruction on evidence-based practice methodologies and information management skills, assisting in the development of systematic reviews, and supporting the information literacy needs of faculty, staff and students.
• Participate in initiatives and projects with library faculty colleagues.
• Serve as an active member of library teams, task forces, and committees.
• Participate in and represent USA Libraries in local, regional, and national professional activities
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Prepares budgets and authorizes appropriations.
• Completes annual assessment requirements and leads assessment
initiatives for the Student Affairs Division.
• Participates on University committees.
• Coordinates professional development opportunities for the
Division of Student Affairs in accordance with the professional
standards of the field.
• Assists Student Affairs staff with personal and departmental
assessment strategies and methods including, but not limited to,
the development learning outcomes and TracDat in order to improve
programs and services.
• Performs all functions and responsibilities of a Campus
Security Authority as defined in the Clery Act.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as
required.
• Related duties as required.
