• This position is currently offering a $5,000 bonus (half is payable after 6 months and half after 12 months of employment.)*

Location: The Virginia Correctional Center for Women is located in Goochland, VA. This program utilizes the therapeutic community model while blending gender responsive and cognitive restructuring approaches.

Pay Rate: $52,000 ($25.00/hr.). Candidates with a CSAC, CADC, or equivalent certification/license are eligible for $58,000 ($27.88/hr.)

The Counselor is responsible for:
• Facilitating group programming and meetings, individual counseling sessions, case management services, and clinical documentation.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and individual treatment plans within established timeframes.
• Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, and conferences.
• Working closely with the Virginia Department of Corrections personnel to ensure quality delivery of services and promote a healing environment where people with substance use disorders can learn to live in recovery as returning citizens.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field is required.
• State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia or similar certification/license recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors is required within two (2) years of signing job description.
• Must provide proof of COVID vaccination or, as an alternative, appropriate documentation that will support either a medical or religious exemption

Essential Functions
• Serves as primary coordinator / project manager on a variety of research studies with low or moderate regulatory, clinical, and operational complexity; supports the PI and research team members.
• Evaluates and prepares research studies for implementation including: assessment of operational feasibility; budget development; preparation of IRB documents; institutes protocol operations (generation of data collection tools, case report forms); attends study meetings.
• Identifies, recruits, screens, assesses eligibility, and enrolls subjects per protocol; with appropriate training and delegation, performs protocol-required research activities.
• Assesses patient status; collects, reviews, and documents data into a variety of systems per protocol.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates educational programs, procedure and protocol updates to meet the identified needs of physician investigators, nursing staff, program staff, patients, family and/or the community.
• Maintains research studies in compliance with federal, state, and local law, GCP, contracts, and institutional policies.
• Coordinates and/or performs study activities which may include: nursing assessments; identification of adverse events; investigational product/test article (drug or device) accountability and administration; collection, processing, and shipment of research specimens; and other research activities to the extent permitted by law and policy.
• Communicates, collaborates, networks, and acts as a consultant to the study sponsor and/or CRO, research study centers, academic institutions, investigators, physicians/physician offices, ancillary departments, and the multidisciplinary team (including students and residents).
Qualifications

Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a health or science related field
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire
• Shipping and Handling of Specimen Training Certification within 90 Days
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association within 90 Days Or
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross within 90 Days

Preferred
• 1 year of relevant experience in clinical research and project management.
• Ideal candidate would be an RN with both Oncology and Research experience.
• An individual very passionate about the Oncology patient population.

Job Summary

Provides healthcare services, applying cross-sectional computerized tomography (CT) imaging and all related duties to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing imagines for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Acts as a role model for comprehensive care, addressing the physiological, and socio-cultural needs of patients and their families and acts as a resource to other radiology employees in managing complex issues. Assures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.

Essential Functions
• Verifies patients' clinical history, ensuring that information is documented and readily available to the licensed practitioner.
• Completes proper patients identification and order verification. Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
• Selects proper technical factors and operates equipment and accessories as directed. Positions patients and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
• Prepares / administers contrast media and / or medications as per protocol.
• Evaluates images and data for technical quality, manipulates display parameters, and pushes images to picture archiving and communication system (PACS) as the accepted electronic format for permanent patient record, assuring proper patient identification is evident.
• Schedules patients for procedures.
• Assignments are routine; follows established protocols. Works under close supervision, seeks guidance where needed; requires some instruction on day-to-day work and resolves routine problems.
• Maintains a clean work environment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department/unit personnel.
Qualifications
• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree
• CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARRT upon hire required Or
• CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB upon hire required Or
• CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT upon hire required And
