Job Description:

OVERVIEW
DSSC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and outgoing individual to inject energy, excitement and fun into its sports leagues and social event offerings. Candidates must enjoy facing new challenges with creative solutions. Adaptability is a must as this role will find you engaging with customers, using power tools and managing online schedules all in the same day.

DAILY LEAGUE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
League Operations Management is the process of preparing all materials for DSSC sports leagues. Materials include league administrative materials, equipment, promotional materials and sponsor displays. League Management also includes follow-up from all leagues after they are played. This is a daily task.

· Prepare materials for each league to ensure that all equipment, administrative materials, marketing materials, sponsorship materials and supplies are available at all league locations per DSSC specifications and standards including packing DSSC vehicles, delivering to DSSC facilities with storage capabilities and providing for DSSC league management staff.

· Manage DSSC leagues, including managing & scheduling league staff and officials, quality control and managing daily setup of leagues.

· Replenish league supplies and equipment as necessary (i.e. refill first-aid kits, order banners, purchase pens, whistles, etc…) in accordance with the budget and to ensure all leagues have all necessary materials.

· 2 weeks prior to each season, create checklist and materials for all leagues.

· Update all league standings and brackets on DSSC website upon the receipt of information.

· Maintain an accurate count of all forfeits and remove excessive violators from the league or playoffs for continued abuse of policies.

· Answer any customer or internal questions, concerns, or comments that remain unanswered from the previous day’s leagues.

· Maintain an accurate inventory of DSSC equipment and league supplies at all DSSC storage facilities and keep in an organized and clean fashion.

· Work in conjunction with office staff regarding any disciplinary problems that resulted from poor participant conduct during league play.

· Maintain good verbal and written communication to on-site league coordinators regarding any progress on any customer service issues.

· Update sport and league webpages on dallassocialclub.com and keep up-to-date and accurate at all times

· Assist in all office tasks, including but not limited to responding to email inquiries, answering phones, assisting with deliveries and shipping, and pitching in whenever needed.

· On Call program. Responsible for DSSC On Call coverage one week per every 3 weeks covering the Emergency Hotline and managing all issues that come up after hours during the week.

· DSSC Jersey management. Coordinate DSSC team jersey handouts and tracking at DSSC leagues during all seasons.

PROMOTIONS/MARKETING
Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of seasonal marketing plans designed to maximize sales for all Dallas Sport and Social Club sports leagues and events. The Marketing Plans will focus on grass roots promotional strategies to reach individual and group customers.

· Coordinate League Promotions at DSSC leagues to focus on customer retention.

· Identifying seasonal marketing strategies to market to targeted neighborhoods and markets identified as important to filling existing and new leagues offered each season.

· Responsible for DSSC website management of all leagues pages including monitoring all pages for fresh content, images and maintenance

· Assist Marketing with the creation and posting of DSSC league-related social media content on social media channels

· Responsible for coordinating promotions for sponsors at DSSC leagues and events including the delivery of materials, reporting and communication to league staff.

ON_SITE LEAGUE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
League operations refers to the on-site coordination of league events. This aspect of the job is typically handled off-site from the office and occurs during non-business hours. (approx. 5pm – 11:30pm during the week, and 9am – 10pm on Saturday and/or Sunday.)

· Provide on-site league coordination 2-3 times per week during each season. Employee may be required to work more if circumstances arise.

· Summer focus for on-site league coordination will be on DSSC Volleyball leagues, including managing the daily setup of all Volleyball leagues.

· Work necessary shifts between 5pm – 11:30pm during a weekday league, or 9am – 10pm on Saturday and/or Sunday league as deemed necessary prior to each season.

· Set-up leagues according to DSSC specifications including, but not limited to, field layout and promotions set-up.

· Display all national and local sponsors through banner display and product sampling when necessary.

· Manage any part-time staff on site at the leagues.

· Distribute and enforce all DSSC sport rules and policies.

· Distribute any promotional materials for DSSC upcoming events, sponsor bars, and/or national sponsors.

EVENT MANAGEMENT
Event Management refers to the planning, set-up and on-site coordination of DSSC events or corporate events. Examples include tournaments, running events, festivals and concerts. This aspect of the job is typically handled off-site and occurs during non-business hours on weekends or holidays.

· Provide event management coordination for all DSSC events as needed including assisting with the planning and setup for the events and on-site execution coordination.

· Assist with coordination of other events including internal, sponsored and promotional events when needed.

This position will also assist the Easton / Miken / Worth / Rawlings Product and Brand teams with player feedback, social media support, and product insights.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
• Leads the coordination and organization of the grass roots event schedule and activation. Attends events and sells product, onsite, to players, parents, coaches and Tournament Directors.
• Assists the Team Sales Director with coordination of grass roots partnerships and opportunities to demo product and facilitate the Mobile Hit Lab.
• Manages and organizes Mobile Hit Lab for fall and spring tours to maximize on field exposure and exclusive product usage.
• Develops strong local relationships with Softball players, tournament directors and teams to routinely test / promote Easton / Miken / Worth / Rawlings product in the field.
• Assists the Team Sales Director and the Category Management teams to develop reports and surveys to effectively report and organize player feedback.
• Assists the Team Sales Rep with providing additional support to key retail partners.
• Works with Category Management teams to assist in product development initiatives and timelines with valuable on-field product insights.
• Assists the Sales / Marketing team with Easton / Miken / Worth / Rawlings Mobile Hit Lab objectives brand storytelling, and sales driving initiatives.
• Assists the Brand Marketing team with social media and digital campaigns.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required :
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or 2 to 4 years of related experience.
• Extensive relationship building and experience in the Slow pitch Softball industry.
• Ability to travel and work from the road approximately 70% of the year.
• High level of organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
• Exercise high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions : Physical surroundings are generally indoor and outdoor, pleasant, and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards.

Some physical effort required; setup and tear down activities of company marketing tools. Typically seated or standing with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Extensive travel.
