We are looking for promising designers for our summer intern... program to work with full-time product designers on our Commerce and Presence teams. The Commerce team is focused on helping entrepreneurs start and grow their online businesses on Squarespace. The Presence team provides the platform for customers to build a website that expresses their brand through online content and outstanding design.. Together with the product team, you will explore new opportunities for Squarespace users to expand their reach and share their products to vast, new audiences.

These roles will report to Senior Product Designers and be based in our New York City office.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate on project briefs and scoping
• Create rational, elegant solutions to complex problems
• Create wireframes and early-stage prototypes
• Want to understand the capabilities and technical constraints of the systems with which you'll work with
• Clearly present ideas and work to the product team and larger group
• Deliver comps, flows and assets to team members
• Participate in user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency
• Collaborate with our Design Systems team to ensure your work integrates into our ecosystem

Qualifications
• Graduated student (Spring 2023) or currently enrolled student graduating in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024
• Previous internship or work experience
• An understanding of visual and user experience design
• Experience using Figma
• An understanding of web and mobile applications

A portfolio of relevant design work is required for consideration. It should illustrate your involvement and how you contributed to solving specific problems.

You'll Get To...

• Manage a team of creators and ensure efficient and on-time delivery of high-quality content in a variety of formats and media
• Identify relevant metrics to track performance of content initiatives and the team
• Review performance metrics and other feedback, and iterate on strategy and optimize execution based on results
• Collaborate with our Product Marketing team through the creation and delivery of proposals, calendars, project plans, and creative briefs
• Partner with business leads and marketing counterparts to develop brand guidelines
• Manage outsourced content creation including freelance and agency relationship management, and budget tracking
• Develop processes to ensure that content remains up to date and relevant.
• Occasionally research and write copy, as needed, for various channels including forums, web pages, emails, newsletters, blog posts, product guides, sales enablement materials, video scripts, etc.
