Seeing the future is the future. Advances in machine learning allow companies to optimize every aspect of their operations - from building technology to acquiring customers.
But benefitting from those advancements is expensive and challenging. The cost of in-house data science infrastructure and expertise is astronomical and results are slow. Whereas predictive offerings inside third-party tools... have limited applicability within that specific tool - and none outside of it.
Enter Black Crow AI.
Black Crow AI is the turnkey data science solution for ecommerce. Our plug-and-play Predictive Intelligence Platform leverages patented technology to predict customer value in real-time and deliver that intelligence into any tool, any team with ease. We hand customers powerful predictions and simple playbooks to help them transform every workflow across their business overnight. In doing so, we allow teams and tools to unlock their potential and provide a common language about customers that whole organizations now speak.
Our team mirrors the potential-unlocking power of our product offering. Our work is fueled by the knowledge that each person at Black Crow is unique - possessing a distinct mix of skills, personality, and passions. We embrace those diverse talents to tackle technical challenges, refine our successfully disruptive offering, and co-create one of the most humane and inspiring work cultures out there. Simply put, Black Crow AI is a place where very smart people come together to build on ideas and do amazing things.
Where you come in:
Black Crow AI is looking for a software engineer that can work on both the front end and the back end of our software platform. You’ll be working in our small team and you’ll have an impact on a daily basis.
In our engineering work, we balance cutting-edge technologies with industry-proven practices. With our polyglot approach, you will see a variety of languages, libraries, and databases. Our agile way of working is founded on many years of experience; you will be working with other well-seasoned engineers.
We believe that engineers are most effective when they are involved with the whole lifecycle of software development: conceiving new features, designing and coding the change, testing, deploying, and support. Don't worry if you don't know how to do everything at first - you'll learn the essentials through pair programming with other experienced engineers on the team.
What you’ll do:
• Work closely with our Product team
• Work in an agile environment
• Produce quality code and help improve our code base
• Design, code, and execute automated test scripts and select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Prepare reports and documentation updates, and provide technical consultation on automation issues, tools and processes
• Be a part of a dynamic team and architect solutions to complex problems in applied machine learning
About you:
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• 1+ years of experience developing production code in Javascript
• 1+ years of experience developing production code on the server-side (Java, Scala, NodeJs, etc)
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
• You prefer to focus on frontend work with a good balance of full-stack tasks.
• You can work Eastern time hours and you're based in the Americas
More About us:
• We work Monday-Thursday (4 day work week)
• Unlimited time off
• We’re based in New York (but you don’t have to be)
• We’re fully remote
Love your job:
We love our work and our team. Our machine learning helps ‘flick the lights on’ for companies so they see their customers more clearly and can uncover the true potential of their tools and teams. In turn, we strive to do the same for our people. We’re here to shine light on each other and unlock known (and sometimes unexpected) potential.
Our vibrant team accomplishes a lot every day, including our fair share of laughter. Come build the company you’ve always wanted to work for - with inspiring products and a community of passionate people Show more details...
