SteelSeries has been experiencing rapid growth and in January 2022 we became part of GN Store Nord. The demand for the corporate finance function being a well-oiled machine room is high and necessary to support the growth and reporting requirements for a large C25 company.

We are looking for a dedicated Corporate Finance Associate for our Chicago office. Your responsibilities will, among other things, be to deliver business analyses, financial planning, and reporting on financial performance as well as to optimize our financial reporting processes. You can expect to spend most of your time on business analysis and finance reporting, including business insights, profitability analyses, business performance and risk management, and cost analysis. Finally, you will also spend time on optimization and ad hoc tasks that support our CFO and CEO in their daily tasks.

You will report directly to the Head of Corporate Finance who is based in Canada and support the CFO and CEO who are based in the US. The majority of the finance team is located in Copenhagen with local business controllers based in the regions.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly management reporting to SteelSeries and the GN Group – this includes insights on relevant financial and operational performance indicators (including the preceding sign-off from relevant business managers)
• Prepare monthly business review material to GN management, which will include financial, operational, and other business-relevant reporting
• Be deeply involved in our budget and forecasting processes, including data validation, consolidation, and reporting
• Business case preparation, including yearly updates following the end of annual reporting and continuous updates/maintenance in liaise with the relevant internal teams (e.g., sales, R&D and operation teams)
• Prepare input for weekly meetings with Sales and Operations, allowing for the discussion and analysis of short-term sales expectations
• Ensure that our reporting processes and tools (including BI) are optimized and remain innovative
• Deliver concrete business analyses and insights to management in both SteelSeries and the GN Group
• Report on financial performance, risk management, etc.
• Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing finance and reporting processes across the entire organization

Necessary Skills:
• You ideally have at least 1-3 years of experience as a financial transaction service professional, finance business partner, business controller, or FP&A professional, having ideally worked with end-to-end financial analysis and reporting and consolidation for a company or staff functions in a large, complex international organization
• You preferably have a degree in business, finance or economics
• Experience from a company working with development, production, sales, and/or product distribution will be considered an advantage. You do not need to be a gamer, but any experience with consumer electronics is a plus
• You speak and write English effortlessly
• You have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Moreover, you preferably have some experience with Power BI, SQL and/or Navision

The Director of Marketing role is fast-paced and high impact, directly affecting the business and millions of gamers around the world every day- something not often found in huge companies or startups.

Reporting to the CMO, the Director of Marketing is an experienced, scrappy, “in-the-trenches”, digital brand marketer, able to develop and execute overall marketing strategy for SteelSeries to build brand affinity while adapting to the ever-changing demands of the business. Must be able to lead the development of global marketing campaigns, oversee approximately 30 global new product launches per year across a dozen product categories, and orchestrate ongoing consumer efforts, acting as a liaison between Brand/Product Management, Operations, Sales, and Creative teams.

The ideal candidate is both a highly strategic and “roll up one’s sleeves” executional marketer with extensive global gaming/esports experience across digital advertising, editorial content, email marketing, storytelling, brand building, marketing analytics, customer journey mapping, esports, and influencer marketing, and, importantly, integrated channel marketing to serve the region Sales and Marketing teams and the overall SteelSeries brand.

As well, the ideal candidate must be a proactive, collaborative, assertive, business-responsive leader who will quickly earn the respect of other functions and own day-to-day operations for a $500M business in a dynamic, fast-paced esports/gaming industry.

She/he/they will have direct managerial oversight to best-in-class marketing specialists in email, editorial (blog/copywriting), graphic design, integrated/channel marketing, and digital advertising channels, so knowledge and experience in these areas are paramount.

• Ensure robust marketing programs and tools for all New Product Introductions (NPI) and marketing campaigns including trackers on NPI performance at retail and etail sites.
• Lead subject matter experts in the development of annual plans with a focus on KPIs that will deliver the business objectives of SteelSeries.
• Develop quarterly marketing playbooks for use by Sales teams for customer activation
• Manage day-to-day relationship with external ad agency partners, project manages/coordinates the development and delivery of projects across all functions.
