The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring monthly financial statements are reported timely and accurately. You will regularly work on account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and regulatory maintenance and reporting. You will work closely with senior leadership and report into the VP of Finance & Operations.
What You’ll Do
• Reconcile and balance external accounts, record day-to-day financial transactions, and book appropriate journal entries within the firm’s accounting system
• Reconcile revenue with outside vendors across multiple revenue streams
• Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner, which may include setting up vendors, reconciliation of invoices, and collections
• Perform multi-stage month-end accounting close
• Maintain the proper accrual and prepayment reconciliations to support accounting journal entries
• Prepare accurate, timely, and complete monthly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of the company’s financial data and performance
• Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies with automated integrations with the firm’s accounting system and outside vendors
• Support annual tax and audit request
• Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA a plus
• 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge of automated accounting systems, specifically Quickbooks
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
• Organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to balance numerous projects while meeting tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective interpersonal skills, particularly in building relationships and working collaboratively both internally and externally
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills (grammar & syntax)

The Role
You'll be responsible for building new features and improving existing ones that benefit millions of users across our platform. You will work closely with Product, Design, and other team members to solve challenging problems and deliver delightful user experiences.
Responsibilities
• Deliver scalable, highly-responsive performant web applications following Stocktwits’ Software Development Life Cycle
• Work with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Engineers to understand requirements and translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
• Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews
• Proactively identify complex issues, take initiative to resolve first, and triage and escalate effectively within the broader team
• Own assigned projects from beginning to end to be delivered on-time and bug free with minimal support
• Assist in mentoring junior team members as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience breaking down complex projects into smaller, manageable tasks
• Fluency with at least one programming language; Python, Golang, NodeJS, or Typescript preferred
• Experience using databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis or MongoDB
• Experience working with NextJS and ReactJS in a production environment
• Experience writing tests using frameworks such as Playwright

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring monthly financial statements are reported timely and accurately. You will regularly work on account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and regulatory maintenance and reporting. • Prepare accurate, timely, and complete monthly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of the company's financial data and performance
• Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies with automated integrations with the firm's accounting system and outside vendors
• Support annual tax and audit request
• Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA a plus
• 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge of automated accounting systems, specifically Quickbooks
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
• Organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to balance numerous projects while meeting tight deadlines

The Role
