Duties include, but not limited to, serving as chair side assistant to dental provider, handling and manipulating various dental instruments and pieces of apparatus as directed by the dental provider; greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner; recording patient's vital signs and follow proper medical record documentation protocol; reviewing patient's consent for treatment to ensure appropriate signatures are obtained. Will also provide administrative support to department (e.g. answering telephones, schedule patient appointments using Hospital computer information systems, etc.). Positions are located in a healthcare setting and a customer-oriented environment. Training is provided. Positions start at $35,528 annually.
Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma; and either one year of experience in dental assisting or graduation from an accredited program in dental assisting. Knowledge of medical/dental terminology and medical billing along with successful completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program is strongly preferred. The Advanced Practice Provider at the Family Birth Center, located at our Community Campus is responsible for 24 hour availability of neonatal resuscitation. Additional responsibilities include care for babies in the extra care nursery, follow up bilirubin and weight checks, NRP education, and responding to all baby emergencies as they arise.
Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care, assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. NRP certification required. Neonatal experience as an APP. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

12 hour shifts, combination days and nights, 7 days per week
