The Project Manager is... responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing technical projects. They will own the cross-department communication with all stakeholders including the engineering teams, operations teams and business development teams. On a day-to-day basis the Project Manager will be hands-on with the product & engineering teams, ensuring that we are on the right track to achieve the established milestones.
The Role You Will Have:
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to support engineering and product goals, initiatives and directives
• With a solid understanding of data systems, data analytics and BI, create and execute detailed project plans that deliver technical projects on time
• Use Jira and Confluence to manage multiple, simultaneous technical data projects
• Lead scrum ceremonies with a flexible approach
• Lead intra-team and cross-team meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, noting action items and conducting follow-ups
• Manage communications with all the stakeholders to keep them informed around status, timelines, and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle
• Gather qualitative and quantitative data on the engineering team’s capacity, and manage the velocity to achieve the highest level of competency as a team
• Implement continuous improvements to our project management processes
What You Will Bring:

The Role You Will Have:

The Role You Will Have:
• Take an innovative approach to performance marketing through automation, AI
• Bring experience and thought leadership in regards to growth strategies, tools, and techniques
• Comfort taking the lead on complex or cross team projects and ensure they are delivered with minimal guidance (define, organize, and deliver on the plan)
• Ability to look at the business with a broader context, think through longer-term opportunities, and awareness of cyclical movement in vertical-specific market
• Establish foundation of performance marketing that can be replicated or applied similar areas of the System1 business
• Train and mentor less experienced buyers on a broader SEM business context
• In-depth understanding of how the entire monetization flow is integrated and how relevant KPI’s are connected to each other.
• Good understanding of digital advertising and marketing trends within verticals
What You Will Bring:
• 4-5 years of media buying experience with increasing levels of responsibility (ex: leading complex projects or directing the efforts of additional resources)
• An advanced level of knowledge of SEM media buying on a major platform (Google, Bing, Yahoo) with ability to demonstrate your knowledge of the platforms features, capabilities, and strategies
• 2-3 years of experience interfacing with analytics, BI and/or data science teams to analyze underlying campaign performance, define tests, and document new reporting needs
• Experience with BI platforms (Tableau, Looker, etc) and/or Google Analytics
• Experience working with and helping define automated systems and using tools such as AI to scale business efficiency
• Keen business and financial skills to identify, prioritize, and define business strategy for biggest opportunities for growth
• Strong desire to deliver on stated goals and objectives as part of a team
• A background of successfully buying to multiple different monetization flows (search, display, affiliate, etc)
• Critical and analytical thinking skills
• Excellent relationship-building and ability to work with cross functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000 - $183,000 bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
