Reporting to the Global Head of Nutrition and Regulatory Affairs, this role encompasses both strategic input and day to day business support management and also demands the translation of public health and policy relevant scientific nutrition research to support business growth. In addition to working closely with our R&D and platform teams, this role will lead our nutrition research and its application, in collaboration with global colleagues and develop new ideas for exploration.

Principle Accountabilities
• Lead the research and communication central/global hub for dissemination of the nutrition, through management of a small team who are responsible for day-to-day activities in this area
• Governance of roadmap and resources for research and claims pathway execution globally
• Act as a key liaison with R&D to provide proactive, and timely Nutrition expertise and support throughout stage-gate process
• Ensure technical support is available to the platforms and key stakeholders (sales, product management, marketing, regulatory)
• Lead research dissemination strategy for external and internal audiences, through collaboration with Nutrition regional leads and various marketing stakeholders
• Ensure adequate support and subject matter expertise is available to the Regulatory team for global regulatory submissions
• Keep abreast of emerging science and policy issues in the nutrition and health environment and identify nutrition-related research opportunities for business growth
• Horizon scanning to help develop strategic plans and provide a window to future ingredients, formulations and claims.

The Candidate
• PhD in Nutrition or a related field
• Strong experience designing and managing research projects, preclinical and clinical study design, execution, and understanding of statistical analysis, in commercial setting
• Strong foundation in the food / food ingredients industry with experience and/or knowledge of the regulatory environment
• Experience in managing small team of scientists
• Good knowledge of sweeteners and carbohydrate nutrition will be advantageous
• Strong track record of communicating successfully with technical and non-technical audiences through first class interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage / prioritize multiple projects with complex scientific information requiring high attention to detail and intense deadlines
• Evidence of forging strong relationships with internal stakeholders, i.e. R&D, marketing, regulatory, applications, etc.
• Evidence of forging strong relationships with external stakeholders i.e. customers / industry scientists, academic / institution / contract lab researchers, healthcare professionals / practitioners, etc.
• Able to travel up to 20% of the time
• Self-starter with an independent working style
• Strong team player, collaborative / collegiate working style, and supportive of colleagues globally to meet team goals

Basic Purpose
The Global Product Manager (Structural Ceilings) is responsible for supporting the global data center business by providing highly competent technical expertise in structural ceilings and by extension providing our customers with excellent customer service in technical and project execution. The scope of responsibilities extends to both on-site and off-site activities.
Reporting to the Global General Management Team, the Global Product Manager can be based at Tates United States Headquarters in Jessup, MD. The role will require travel globally as required to support the business requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide harmonized global installation standards and documentation.
Serve as global escalated point of contact for structural ceiling related technical questions.
Issue global technical drawings and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Provide global approach to signoff of installations and communication of requirements.
Manage a team of Regional Product Managers who will handle local requirements and day to day requirements in their respective business units.
Harmonize all technical details for project execution.
Build global systems to allow for global consistency of bills of materials and part numbers.
Establish quality standards, specifications, and tolerances for all structural ceiling systems.
Outline global product development of new structural ceilings, including the launch and discontinuance of ceiling systems as required by understanding our current and future customer needs.
Attend relevant data center tradeshow events for the purposes of high-level customer interaction and to understand customer perception and needs
Audit worldwide ceiling grid vendors to ensure adequate technical controls are in place.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level in an Engineering or Construction Studies discipline.
Professional experience in a construction environment.
Suitable experience in structural ceiling products or interior fit-out desired.
Professional Engineer or national equivalent is highly desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience with AutoCAD or BIM software is desired.
Critical thinking and problem solving.
Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to function in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to travel internationally (25%).
National driving license as required.
