As a Customer Support Specialist, you will delight our Creators by providing solutions to customer issues, and acting as a liaison between internal support teams and customers. You’ll be part of a best-in-class customer support organization that has a unique position in being able to work directly with our Creators and help scaffold their online businesses to new heights.

This is a contract position with an expected end date of early July, 2023. You'll be assigned a specific shift (8 hours per day / 40 hours per week).

Our customer support team operates seven days a week, 365 days a year, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST.

We’re looking for someone with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.

What You'll Do:
• Provide a world-class customer support experience by efficiently and enthusiastically delivering solutions to creators, and empowering them to get the most out of the Teachable platform
• Become an expert on the functionality and capabilities of the Teachable platform, and stay up to date on our rapidly evolving product offering
• Drive business goals by consistently meeting/exceeding individual and team KPIs, and demonstrating a sense of urgency in communicating with our creators
• Collaborate cross-departmentally by reporting customer feedback and insights to our marketing, product and engineering teams
• Iterate on our internal team processes as the Teachable product continues to evolve

What We're Looking For:
• 2+ years providing high-volume email/live chat support, preferably in SaaS
• Strong computer skills to learn and work within multiple systems (must be able to type at least 40 wpm)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills: you are comfortable translating complex concepts to non-technical audiences
• Emotional intelligence and an empathetic inclination to understand what the customer is saying versus what they mean
• Curiosity for learning - you enjoy taking on new challenges and are able to quickly distill learnings in a fast paced environment to best support our Creators and teams
• High level of technical aptitude; the ability to pick up new technologies quickly and explain complex concepts simply

Extra Credit:
• Working knowledge and experience using helpdesk tools such as ZenDesk, Salesforce, Intercom or similar
• Prior experience with technical troubleshooting

Additional Details
• This role is open to remote candidates in the U.S.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• For this role, the hourly salary range is $20 - $25 dollars an hour.
• We review all teammate pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.

Teachable is looking for a Counsel to join its Legal & Compliance team, which diligently manages complex issues to make sure that our creators, students, employees, and shareholders are kept safe and sound. Cutting across the company horizontally, the Legal team pivots from privacy laws, to changing tax requirements, to copyright and trademark rights, to marketing and advertising requirements, to new product development considerations, to employment laws in the wake of our current reality, and more. In this role, it’s imperative that you can research and synthesize the legal requirements that we face and then pivot to implement policies, programs, or projects that ensure compliance with those laws.

You will be a central member of the team tasked with helping uncover, understand, and ultimately mitigate the legal and compliance risks that Teachable faces. You will be focusing your time on two sides of the same coin - law and compliance. In this role, it’s imperative that you can research and synthesize the legal requirements that we face and then pivot to implement policies, programs, or projects that ensure compliance with those laws. This person in this role will be a key figure assisting with keeping the organization safe and sound as we rapidly progress on our mission.

What You'll Do
• Manages complex legal issues that arise on Teachable's SAAS platform, including keeping up to date with the changing regulatory landscape that impacts an internet business.
• Are or willing to become a SME in privacy rules and regulations that affect Teachable and it’s parent company, Hotmart BV.
• Subject matters include employment, contracts, user and partnership agreements, marketing and advertising, information security, consumer protection, and product design consideration, with a scope that includes state, federal, and international legal concerns.
• Drafts and negotiates a wide variety of commercial agreements and vendor contracts, including professional and technology services agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, and master service agreements with vendors and partners.
• Perform legal and compliance related research to guide the company’s initiatives including DMCA notifications, money transmitter laws, tax, and fraud.
• Work on the front lines with our Customer Operations team directly responding to legal and compliance issues that may be raised by our customers
• Know or be willing to learn when to manage items in-house and when to escalate to the global legal team or outside counsel and then manage that outside counsel, including keeping an eye towards budget and review of work product
• Jump into new products with an eye towards the ongoing legal risks and new risks that are created as the company expands its offerings.

Qualifications
• Juris Doctor
• New York Bar membership or registration (or ability to register) as In-House Counsel in New York
• 2 - 5+ years legal experience in a law firm, in-house, or at a startup
• Experience in payments, financial services, information security, regulatory compliance, or copyright a plus
• Ability to roll up sleeves and get things done
• Proficiency with taking complex issues and reducing them consumable, actionable information (after all slack isn’t very conducive to long memos)

We’re looking for a SEO Manager, someone with experience building and executing strong SEO strategies to bring targeted audiences to Teachable.com by increasing visibility on all search engines. You will report to the Director of Brand and Content and partner across multiple departments including paid marketing, content marketing, product, tech ops, creative, and marketing ops to bring best practices in both on-page optimization and technical SEO to life.

What You'll Do:
• Lead and develop SEO strategies and initiatives that deliver on growth goals
