About the role:
• Administer 401k plan including deferral reconciliation, and audits, loan, and rollover maintenance
• Manage and promote employee benefit education
• Support 401k governance requirements; interface with fiduciary advisor, and complete annual audits, non-discrimination testing, and 5500s
• Conduct open enrollment planning, configuration, communication, administration for global health, welfare
• Develop strategy and maintain wellness plans
• Set up and conduct ongoing dependent verification audits including attestation for domestic partners
• Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare reporting requirements
• Manage leaves of absence globally, including sabbatical leave, ensuring seamless integration between employee, leave outsourcing vendor, and HRBP; Interface with PEO as needed for international leaves of absence.
• Routine invoice reconciliation and file feed audits
• Support human capital operations team members with global onboarding and offboarding, audit of employee files, I-9, and HRIS data
• Review HRIS error reports and troubleshoot issues with vendor while maintaining system integrity
• Act as the point of contact for employee questions related to benefits through ticketing system and other communication channels
• Assist in driving benefits strategy and development of benefit enhancements and support continued process improvement
• Conduct renewals reconciliation and periodic review to ensure WC policy covers all employees and in all states.

This includes event management, utilizing tools/developing processes to manage program data, building and scheduling the 3-month programming calendar, execution of Demo Day, and recruiting, hiring, training, and management of the seasonally hired Associate team. For programs with a Corporate Partner, the Program Analyst is also responsible for collaborating closely with the corporate partner to support their goals within the accelerator.
Experience with operations and event planning is required and is a major part of this role. Familiarity with the early stage venture-backed company ecosystem is preferred but not required. Throughout the year PMs have the opportunity to work across the Techstars network, support cross-collaborative projects, focus on professional development and career growth, and work with colleagues from all around the world.
You will be both internally focused working in support of founders in-program and externally focused on behalf of our founders to the broader community of alumni, investors, and mentors. You will provide oversight of the Techstars application process and the management of the program. You’ll maintain strong bonds with the startups you bring into the program, acting as a resource and looking out for relevant opportunities to support their success.
What You Will Do:
• Work with the team to develop the program plan and own the overall responsibility for the successful execution of both accelerator programs, including end of program celebrations and Demo Day
• Ensure the program is following best practices and executing upon outlined content and curriculum of the Techstars playbook
• Deliver the best possible accelerator experience to founders, mentors, partners, investors and other stakeholders

What you bring to the role:

Historically, most business associates end up being employed by one of the Techstars companies or by someone they meet during the span of the three months. Many also go on to build their own companies.
General Job Description
As a business associate you will use your strategy, operations, finance and marketing skills to support our portfolio companies. In this generalist role you'll work with the class of startups to help them build their business in a variety of ways - you’ll help them with growth, business development work, research, financial modeling, operations, and whatever else they need to build incredible companies. You will gain access to all 12 companies in our class and we expect that you will help accelerate the companies' growth throughout the program.
Qualifications
Currently live in New York City or would be willing to live here for the duration of the program from March 13, 2023 through June 8, 2023.
Willing to commit to the equivalent of a full-time position March 6, 2023 to June 9, 2023. Schedule is flexible but a strong commitment is expected.
Demonstrated interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital, etc.
You should be a jack of all trades and have a varied skill set.
Ideally: BA in business, finance, sales, and/or minimum 2 years relevant experience (financial modeling, growth hacking, lead generation, etc.)
Huge Plus: experience with financial modeling (especially 3-Statement Models)
Able to jump in and complete any task quickly and effectively.
Be a problem solver and effective communicator.
A drive to get better every single day and are always looking for opportunities to learn.
A positive outlook, desire to learn and meet new people, lots of energy and enthusiasm.
Authorized to work as a contractor in the United States.
