The Assistant Director of Development will be trained and developed to successfully manage a portfolio of prospective donors and will qualify, cultivate, solicit, close, manage and steward gifts at the Conwell Society level and above ($1,000+) with a focus on building towards term and endowed funds ($10,000 - $50,000). Reporting to the Director of Development at the College of Liberal... Arts, the Assistant Director of Development will develop strong relationships through qualification and cultivation meetings which build toward effective solicitations of alumni, faculty, staff and friends.

The incumbent will work in conjunction with colleagues across the University to identify new donors and design cultivation strategies. The Assistant Director will assist with crafting effective, persuasive, and professional written proposals and other materials for the securing of gifts in support of the College and university. As part of an established development team, the Assistant Director of Development must be highly energetic, organized, flexible, resilient and an effective communicator. The incumbent must be comfortable achieving performance-related metric goals, building trust-based donor relationships and learning in a fast-based environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

The Small Business Development Center at Temple University in the Fox School of Business provides education, training, and consulting services to small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Corridor Business Consultant is responsible for providing high-touch consulting and workshop delivery to small businesses in Philadelphia, focusing on women & minority-owned business corridor businesses. The Consultant will work directly with business owners on business stabilization and growth including business plan development, financial analysis, market research, business management, operations, and access to capital. The incumbent is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients including regular follow-up and coordination of all activities on behalf of the client. This position will be the on-the-ground connector of targeted entrepreneurs to business services and resources within the Philadelphia ecosystem. The Consultant will be responsible for leading monthly and quarterly workshops on entrepreneurship and business planning topics.

This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus, on-site, and remote); the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department. Required Education & Experience:
