Position Focus:

With the support of the Restorative Practices team and the Office of the Secretary and Vice President for University Life, the Associate Director will assist schools, departments, programs and individual units in adapting constructive dialogue teaching tools and other related practices to the unique needs of their respective communities. The Associate Director will train students, faculty and staff in constructive dialogue modalities and other related practices. The Associate Director will work with the Restorative Practices team and the Office of the Secretary and Vice President for University Life to formulate online resources for students, faculty and staff seeking strategies, tools and practices in these areas.
The Associate Director will also assist in qualitative and quantitative program assessment and undertake other duties as assigned by the Director of Restorative Practices and the Chief of Staff to the Secretary and Vice President for University Life. The following principal responsibilities are generic in nature. Applicants will find the information provided in this Position Focus to be most relevant to the needs of the position.
Essential Duties:
1. Directs, monitors, and assesses needs and directs the application of resources of an administrative University office dealing with one or more major functional areas. 2. Directs and implements solutions to problems that are routine to complex in nature and that affect multiple functional areas of responsibility. 3. Plans and/or participates in planning University activities on a long-term basis to comply with University goals and objectives. 4. Establishes and implements consistent university-wide policies in multiple functional areas of responsibility. 5. Barkley Forum for Debate, Deliberation, and Dialogue remains the standard-bearer of Emory’s definitive and robust commitment to the deliberative exchange of ideas by providing students numerous opportunities on and off the campus. Named after the 35th vice president of the United States and Emory alum, the Barkley Forum (BF) is driven by a mission to create meaningful encounters that encourage people to seek and share knowledge. The Barkley Forum has three areas of focus:
• Intercollegiate competitive debate program – Our nationally ranked policy debate team strives to be an exemplary program for training students to be inquiry-driven while they work to achieve Emory’s mission to create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity. This is done while maintaining an access mission to provide training to students who have not previously participated in intercollegiate debate.
• Campus engagement initiative – The BF houses a robust set of deliberation and dialogue programs assisting in creating transformative conversational opportunities across the campus.
• Alumni/ae and community engagement – The BF supports the continued participation of alumni/ae in BF programs. Atlanta Urban Debate League (AUDL), Barkley Forum High Schools (BFHS) and Emory National Debate Institute (ENDI) comprise the primary vehicle the BF uses to aid students in using their immense talents to improve the myriad of communities to which they belong.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor's degree and two years of policy debate or public speaking experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Five years of experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion, and an ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.

Barkley Forum for Debate, Deliberation, and Dialogue remains the standard-bearer of Emory’s definitive and robust commitment to the deliberative exchange of ideas by providing students numerous opportunities on and off the campus. Named after the 35th vice president of the United States and Emory alum, the Barkley Forum (BF) is driven by a mission to create meaningful encounters that encourage people to seek and share knowledge. At its core, the BF works to promote and encourage difficult conversations about and across our difference, deliberative civic engagement, and student research. The Debate and Dialogue Specialist provides argument research for debate competition and campus events, develops and implements trainings, and maintains an engaged and dynamic social media presence promoting BF programs.

The Barkley Forum has three areas of focus:
• Intercollegiate competitive debate program – Our nationally ranked policy debate team strives to be an exemplary program for training students to be inquiry-driven while they work to achieve Emory’s mission to create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity. This is done while maintaining an access mission to provide training to students who have not previously participated in intercollegiate debate.
• Campus engagement initiative – The BF houses a robust set of deliberation and dialogue programs assisting in creating transformative conversational opportunities across the campus.
• Alumni/ae and community engagement – The BF supports the continued participation of alumni/ae in BF programs. Atlanta Urban Debate League (AUDL), Barkley Forum High Schools (BFHS) and Emory National Debate Institute (ENDI) comprise the primary vehicle the BF uses to aid students in using their immense talents to improve the myriad of communities to which they belong.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor's degree and two years of policy debate or public speaking experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Five years of experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion, and an ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.

About the Role
Bonhams is looking for an ambitious and proactive Cataloguer to work with our New York based Post-War & Contemporary Art Department. This role plays an integral part in preparing artworks for sale, cataloguing, arranging photography, research, and condition reporting. In addition, it provides support to specialist business getting teams by assembling proposals and selling documents as assigned.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for all cataloguing and research, working closely with Photography, Operations, and Marketing departments to ensure flawless sale activity and maintenance of sale related deadlines, collaborating with the Sale Coordinator to ensure timely preparation of artworks prior to the catalogue deadline. Under the guidance of the Head of Sale, you will assess artworks for authenticity and condition issues on arrival, catalogue, coordinate photography, and research for public and private sales, fulfilling due diligence using libraries, online databases, liaising with artists' studios, estates, galleries, and outside experts, ensuring research folders are complete for each artwork prior to the catalogue deadline. You will prepare essays and assist with catalogue production as assigned. You will assist with preparing proposals, inputting data from appraisals attended by department Specialists, and selling documents as required by the global team. The above will apply for all Post War & Contemporary artworks consigned to New York sales as well as those consigned for Los Angeles, London, and Hong Kong sales that are consigned through the New York offices. In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your Manager.
