Shifts:
• We ask that you are flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime and holidays
• Schedule assignment upon hire is determined by plant needs. You will be assigned to either the Traditional Work Schedule (TWS) or the Continuous Operations Schedule (COS). Once your probation period is complete, you will be assigned to a shift and/or schedule based on your seniority and you will be eligible to bid on other schedules, shifts and jobs.
• Traditional Work Schedule (TWS): Regular schedule is 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. (1st shift: 7am – 3pm, 2nd shift: 3pm – 11pm, and 3rd shift: 11pm – 7am). Mandatory overtime could be weekly (scheduled for 12 hours/day, Monday through Friday), daily (additional 4 hours on your 8-hour shift) and weekends (8 to 12-hour shifts).
• Continuous Operations Schedule (COS): Rotation of 2-2-3 days on/off, with every other weekend off. You will be eligible for 1 mandated day in a 2-week period.

The Hershey Company, Hazleton Plant, is a Union plant producing products such as Cadbury, Milk Bars, Almond Bars, Extra Dark Bars, Caramel Bars, Candy Coated Eggs, and Kit Kat, in a high-speed complex environment.

In this role, you will most likely begin by working as a Utility Worker, Grade 1 Material Handler. You will work to maintain our highest quality of food safety standards, sanitation standards, and be responsible for completing daily production paperwork. Within a few months, you will be cross trained on a higher-grade position and will receive the higher rate while working in that role. Once your 60-day probation period is complete, you will be eligible to bid to higher level positions .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate processing and packaging equipment, perform routine and limited breakdown maintenance of production equipment
• Monitor overall product quality, complete required checks as well as associated daily production paperwork
• Clean and inspect equipment
• Follow safety procedures
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Follow good housekeeping practices

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a High School diploma/GED
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be flexible to work any shift - 1st / 2nd / 3rd as well as 12-hour shifts
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years’ experience in a manufacturing / food manufacturing environment is preferred
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Standard Operating Procedures related to appropriate uniforms, gloves, shoes, hair nets, etc. is preferred
• Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred

Summary

The Territory Sales Lead will ensure flawless execution of store level sales and promotion plans with customer retailers in assigned territory. Responsibilities

Drive Customer Points of Sale through Consultative Business Partnering
Customer Relationship Development and Management: Build and maintain consultative business relationships with customer Key Decision Makers (KDMs) at all levels. Partner with KDMs to develop and execute a detailed action plan to increase and improve sales results within their stores based on sales analytics and best practices. Cultivate a network of influential contacts at all levels of internal and external customers to achieve sales objectives within assigned territory. Use strategic relationship with KDMs to influence and negotiate customers’ assistance in the merchandising of Hershey products.

Data Analysis and Sales Call Preparation: Prepare for retail sales calls by obtaining and analyzing relevant store, product and market data and creating effective selling tools and presentations for KDM delivery during call. Utilize and complete pre-call planning methods and other company tools. Review and make recommendations to the Regional Sales Leader to modify routes that maximize business efficiencies for all sales calls within territory.

Sales: Engage in forward selling utilizing consultative sales techniques of predetermined customer sales plans with store and market KDMs in every retail sales call, using provided data sources, technology, processes and procedures. Maximize sales and display opportunities by conducting store walk-throughs and gaining commitment by KDMs on successful outcomes. Tailor selling and consultative strategies to influence KDMs to order additional products to increase incremental sales and to obtain best in class quality of merchandising locations of promotional products.

Merchandising
Achieve all merchandising objectives executing customer specific promotional plans through the effective use of forward selling and maintaining permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles established within the Retail Execution Plan. Insure new items are placed on the shelf and out of stocks are addressed and corrected in every call.

Administrative Responsibilities
Complete and submit electronic and/or written reports of daily and weekly activities, expenses, competitive activity, account changes, promotions and all administrative functions within assigned territory using company approved methods and technology

Strategy Development & Process Improvement
Develop and recommend strategies aimed to improve the overall effectiveness of the territory, district and/or area business activities. As requested, drive advocate partnerships within the assigned category.
• This is a non-exhaustive list of duties, as some TSLs may perform additional or different duties depending on, among other things, their education, work experience, assigned supervisor, personal preferences, customers, territory, and other factors. Moreover, depending on these and other factors, different TSLs may devote more or less time to any given responsibility.

Work Schedule

This role offers flexible work schedules based on personal and territory needs. You will be expected to manage your route to be present at stores when key decision makers are available to have effective sales conversations. Your workday should overlap the core hours of 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; you will have flexibility to work with your leader to adjust your schedule to balance personal needs and the needs of your territory. Your schedule during onboarding may be different than above for training purposes.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree Preferred. Bachelors Degree or HS Diploma/GED and 3 or more years recent sales or customer service experience required.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

• Must have a valid US state issued driver’s license
• Must reside or be willing to commute within territory boundaries
• Must be able to drive long distances to make multiple sales calls on a daily basis

• Must be able to lift 10-40 lbs. on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodations
