The Knot Worldwide is looking for a seasoned Product Manager to join our Paper team within the E-commerce Product zone at The Knot. In this role, the products you will work on help couples find and customize wedding invitations that inspire and delight. Our tools power our paper offerings across multiple brands and are integral to solving user pain points and meeting business goals. The Product Manager will work with talented engineers to build and maintain our e-commerce platform architecture while working closely with product managers and designers to develop new customer-facing features. We partner across disciplines with product designers, engineers, writers, researchers, and the business to understand our users, define opportunities, and set the strategic vision for our experiences.
We have built a world-class product development team and are passionate about growing product managers into masters of the craft. We have a rich product development program including monthly Product Schools, development budgets, guest speakers, meetups … as well as a strong general focus on personal development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Always put our users first
• Be the domain expert for the business logic behind the Invitations team
• Collaborate with engineering, design, writers, researchers, and the business to understand our users
• Drive outcome-focus execution - what matters most is how the product impacts our customers and our business
• Define how we evaluate impact and performance of our search and discovery features
• Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems
• Collaborate closely with product leaders across the organization to ensure cohesion between your products and the overall user experience across our Invitations product
SUCCESSFUL PRODUCT MANAGERS HAVE:
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in product management or a related role
• A track record of shipping algorithmically driven products that solve real user needs and support business growth (search, personalization, recommender systems)
• The ability and mindfulness to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with many different audiences, including business partners and engineers
• Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
• Strong prioritization skills; great instincts when it comes to what matters, and experience making tough but smart trade-offs
• Experience with production systems for high traffic websites and services
• Experience with mobile development (iOS or Android)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner with PBP and Legal on employee relations issues including working with our incident management platform, Navex.
• Consult with front-line leaders on performance coaching, corrective action, Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and terminations. Provide coaching and guidance with consideration to current practice and precedent; support analysis and development of recommendations for next steps/ actions.
• Partner with PBP on issues of higher complexity.
• Supporting employee and manager inquiries and contributing to the evolution of our self-service model, and other scalable people solutions.
• Work in partnership with the PBP team to deliver bi-annual/annual programs including our talent review process, employee survey process, and annual merit cycle.

• 2+ years of experience in a high-growth technology organization preferred
• Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); demonstrated experience gathering data, pulling systemic reporting, manipulating data/ formatting reporting in Excel and preparing presentation of information.

You know how to translate stakeholder goals into effective research questions. You proactively engage with teams to highlight insights and research trends that may be applicable across areas.
You’ll work closely with exceptional product managers and designers to help create desirable solutions to real user needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with product teams to understand product objectives, identify research questions, and translate those to in-person and remote usability studies, user interviews, and surveys.
• Design and execute studies that uncover user behavior and attitudes, using the right methodology and measurement techniques.
• Analyze, interpret, and socialize research insights
SUCCESSFUL UX RESEARCHERS HAVE:
A Bachelors, Masters, or PHD in Social Science, Neural Science, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or other fields emphasizing human behavior; will also consider other related fields.
• 1-3 years experience designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research in the consumer product space.
• Strength with both quantitative and qualitative methods
• Experience answering meaningful and impactful consumer product questions using research and advanced measurement techniques.
• Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams.
• Detail oriented and self motivated to work independently on a variety of tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with a knack for storytelling
