The Ringer seeks a Senior Podcast Manager to join its podcast team. The ideal candidate is a driven professional who will give to growing The Ringer's podcast network. The senior manager will lead all aspects of a team that produces a portfolio of shows across sports and entertainment. This person will also work closely with the Ringer's partners and on-mic talent to lead and implement broad initiatives and partnerships, which will require coordination The Ringer seeks a Senior Podcast Manager to join its podcast team. This person will also work closely with the Ringer's partners and on-mic talent to lead and implement broad initiatives and partnerships, which will require coordination with other Ringer teams (i.e. ad sales, video, social). The person in this role must exercise strong multi-tasking skills and be able to lead multiple projects at various stages. Candidates must possess an excellent ear for sound and storytelling, an enthusiasm for sports, familiarity with WWE, the ability to wrangle hosts/talent and podcast producers, and excellent editorial judgment. Most importantly, the candidate is passionate about The Ringer and the topics it covers. What You'll Do Act as primary production point person for The... Ringer's partnerships, including the execution of audio projects and remote events Coordinate with stakeholders across Ringer departments to improve partnership objectives Lead other members of the audio team, assisting in their work on various podcasts across sports and entertainment Oversee creation of weekly promotional materials, including in-house audio trailers, and coordinating with other teams Engage and work with freelance production resources as needed Along with the other Ringer audio managers, establish, maintain and cultivate a structured environment for creative work Create development opportunities and individualized development plans for staff and training to enhance skills and champion growth Participate in creative brainstorm meetings Create a collaborative environment with multiple internal departments to effectively lead and communicate to the right collaborators You will work out of the Los Angeles, CA office. Who you are Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent work experience Minimum seven (7) years experience in content development and production for podcasts Minimum five (5) years experience leading a team of at least three people Experience working directly with high profile talent and guests A consistent track record of developing high-quality content that draws on varied perspectives Excellent communication skills, written and spoken Demonstrate experience having lead programming production and/or engineering in the podcast space. Ability to evaluate content/quality/sound and at significantly with sound judgment A passion for and extensive understanding of The Ringer's content Working knowledge of sports, pop culture, and tech, including but not limited to current events and relevant historical context Familiarity in audio editing with editing software such as ProTools Capacity to work and react quickly in a digital news environment Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure, which may involve working evenings and weekends Ability to work some nights and weekends as the schedule of the topics the Ringer covers demands Our global benefits Extensive learning opportunities, through our dedicated team, GreenHouse.
