Still, however incredible the improvement, they are anchored to the same ancient instruction-based foundation... since the middle of the 20th century.

Engineering in our group is all about taking the millions of lines of HPC code that have already been written and making them fly on NextSilicon's groundbreaking dataflow processor.
We try to take the best of classic compiler engineering, alongside new optimization techniques that push our architecture to its limits:
our optimizer autonomously modifies application code at runtime to maximize throughput and minimize the required hardware resources.

And we're not afraid to venture into the runtime or spend time to deeply understand the hardware to get things right.
3+ years software engineering experience in large/complex projects; Experience in C, C++, or another systems programming language

~ Familiarity with compiler engineering (IR, optimization techniques, dataflow analysis); Everything we accomplish is a result of building together.

Who we are

At dbt Labs, we have developed strong opinions on how companies should practice analytics.

Specifically, we believe that:
• Code, not graphical user interfaces, is the best abstraction to express complex analytic logic
• Data analysts should adopt similar practices and tools to software developers
• Critical analytics infrastructure should be controlled by its users as open source software
• Analytic code itself — not just analytics tools — will increasingly be open source

It turns out that a lot of other people believe this too! Today, there are 9,000 companies using dbt every week, 30,000 practitioners in the dbt Community Slack, and 1,800 companies paying for dbt Cloud. Our customers include JetBlue, Hubspot, Vodafone New Zealand, and Dunelm. dbt is synonymous with the practice of analytics engineering, defining an entire industry. We’re backed by top investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, and Altimeter. We recently raised our series D: read the announcement here!

About the... company

Deno is founded by the same engineers who built Node.js, the JavaScript runtime used by millions of developers and used by nearly all websites in one form or another. Deno is a continuation of the ideas in Node; a modern take on server-side JavaScript development. The open source project has already secured itself among the ranks of the most popular projects on GitHub.

Our commercial product is cloud service for hosting JavaScript servers. It is one of just a handful of implementations of serverless at edge in existence. By repurposing web browser technology for server software, we aim to accelerate a new generation of extreme low-latency edge applications.
