Sporting News interns should expect to be involved in all aspects of content creation, from pitching ideas to managing the brand social media accounts. Interns will also gain experience shaping breaking news coverage, writing and editing, and developing SEO best practices.

HERE’S A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT YOU’LL (PRIMARILY) DO
• Manage all Sporting News and brand affiliated social accounts.
• Create and execute content marketing strategies for featured content and events.
• Identify opportunities within content and work with the design team to create supplemental multimedia.
• Produce original social content for Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
• Contribute social content ideas surrounding major events or trending news.
• Work on various projects assigned by editors.

• Recent college graduate.

Affiliate function, as you collaborate with colleagues across BI, Editorial, Product/Development, and SEO. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in an ecommerce analytics role and is familiar with the challenges presented by Affiliate conversion journeys.

This role reports into the VP, Business Intelligence, and can be done remotely, or based in Charlotte, NC or NYC.

HERE’S A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT YOU’LL (PRIMARILY) DO
• Own the reporting and analysis across Affiliate content and placements, with conversion rate as a key KPI
• Construct and manage Looker Studio dashboards for internal teams through GA /BigQuery data sources
• Synthesize internal reporting with external partner/brand conversion data to deliver end-to-end insight to the Affiliate teams
• Lead optimization efforts across our key commercial page templates and placements
• Direct testing strategy to determine the best means to drive conversions
• Work with local and global teams to manage most effective approach to surfacing multiple partnerships within a single territory as well as globally
• Collaborate with SEO colleagues and Editorial to develop Affiliate content strategies based on acquisition as well as conversion

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?
• 3+ years experience in CRO, ecommerce analytics, or digital analytics
• Experience analysing Affiliate conversion journeys across partner sites
• Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager advanced user, from both analysis and implementation perspective
• Experience using BigQuery and SQL, ideally working with GA data
• Expertise with affiliate measurement platforms (e.g. Trackonomics, Impact, Partnerize)
• Experience using SEO as part of an Affiliate content and conversion strategy

Not Essential But Great If You Also Had
• Experience working in a CRO role across a global publisher Affiliate function
• Familiarity with SEO strategies and best practices
• Experience implementing tracking strategies for affiliate measurement platforms (e.g. Trackonomics, Impact, Partnerize)
