Dagger’s Strategy department is composed of strategists across brand, content, and community engagement, who work... closely with Creative, Production and Data. The team is adept at defining the right message within the right channels with the right multipliers for maximum impact.

A Trend Spotter is not only responsible for defining strategic approaches and stewarding execution of strategies on behalf of clients, but they also are high-speed creators themselves. They are plugged into culture and trends, and know how to translate cultural conversations into lightweight in-platform content that makes brands part of the buzz in authentic ways.

If You’re Really Good At
• Staying current on social trends and identifying engagement opportunities both in the social media space as a whole and within the client’s industry.
• Proactively identifying conversations to insert brands in authentic and meaningful ways through social listening.
• Performing social listening and community monitoring to gauge category trends and garner competitive intelligence that would inform client recommendations.
• Maintaining an understanding on channel best practices across digital mediums with an emphasis on social media platforms, including evolving algorithms.
• Developing creative briefs that inspire and support creative and media decisions.
• Developing and maintaining messaging/topical calendars for social content publication.
• Developing social content in collaboration with a Content Creator partner. This includes concepting, writing, pitching, and creating snackable social content that is smart and engaging for our clients.
• Supporting the creation of client-facing POVs with an emphasis on both platform updates and client implications.
• Leading client meetings and presentations with day-to-day contacts in an organization.
• Consulting on the assessment of content performance, in close collaboration with analytics, to make data-driven optimization recommendations.

And You Have
• 3-5 years experience working at a creative agency or for a Fortune 1000 client.
• Deep knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, trends, tools, and technologies.
• A skillset that flexes across the strategic, creative, and analytical.
• Strong copywriting skills and experience writing for brands and/or consumer-facing marketing.
• Ability to conceptualize and create social media content, with a focus on in-platform creation and iPhone content capture (e.g. TikTok, Reels).
• Advanced written and oral communication skills, both to clients and internally.
• Solid Google Slides and PowerPoint skills to support the creation of visually strong presentations.
• A strong sense of what questions to ask clients or internal team members.
• The ability to take initiative on work streams with a high degree of accountability of delivering the best work and on time; identifying issues that need to be escalated and doing so promptly.
• A high attention to detail and an ability to juggle multiple priorities at once without sacrificing quality of deliverables.
