Customers come into our store for various services, some of which are quick and easy and... some of which can take much longer. For this reason,
Thank you for taking the time to read our post! We are a small team here at The UPS Store in Salem, and it's a unique and challenging work environment at times. The general specifications listed below are certainly accurate, but on top of all these, what we're really hoping for is someone who can multitask. Customers come into our store for various services, some of which are quick and easy and... some of which can take much longer. For this reason, we need a Center Associate who is efficient and communicative with customers in order to help as many as possible within the window they have, even if it means helping the line out of order.
The schedule is somewhat flexible, but we're specifically looking for availability on Tuesdays and Saturdays for a start, with the opportunity to add hours during the busier season.

This is a stable part time RETAIL opportunity at The UPS Store! Provide customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet their needs.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of prior retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Continuously practice good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
• Take ownership of the customer's SHIPPING and PRINTING needs and offer viable solutions
• Take action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
• Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and be willing to teach others
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Enthusiastic and ability to connect with people
• High school diploma or GED required
• Outstanding phone skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Prompt, Reliable, and Responsible
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Willing and able to work 25 to 35 hours per week for a 6-day work week
