Group Product Manager

A Group Product Manager (GPM) is a senior-level Product Manager position that is responsible for managing and overseeing a team/group of product managers and/or junior product managers, who, in turn, manage different products. In addition to managing people, you are also tasked with managing your own product.

This role is described as a player/coach role. A GPM brings together the aspects of being an individual contributor and those of managing and developing people.
Primary Responsibilities of the Role
• Define the product vision (future state), strategy and roadmap (approach to realizing the vision), and tactical (how the strategy will be executed) all with a focus and deep understanding of both customer's needs and business goals
• Deliver MRD (Market Requirements or Demands) and pitch development documents with prioritized features and capabilities with the corresponding business-driven impact
• Manage the product throughout the Product Life Cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, driving product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products
• Be an expert concerning the competition; monitoring the market trends and competitive analysis, identifying product opportunities and plans

A Successful Candidate Will:
• Manage Complexity by acquiring data from multiple and diverse sources, uncovering root causes to difficult problems, making sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
• Communicate Effectively to drive vision and purpose by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action
• Lead with a Strategic Mindset to anticipate future trends and implications accurately and translates them into breakthrough strategies
• Collaborate through working with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives; Represents own interests while being fair to others and their areas leading to the business outcome for the whole organization

Technical Qualifications
Required:
• Strong experience in a dynamic product management role with a minimum of 3-5 years as a Product Manager or a Product Marketing Manager.
• Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
• High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Preferred:
• Previous experience in project management.
• Previous experience in software and web development.
• Proven success as a product developer in a nonmanagerial role.
• Experience creating and delivering training to both internal and external stakeholders.

Office Requirements:
• We are a fully distributed team (100% remote) with travel required 1-2 times per year.

Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer on the Tithely team, you will meaningfully contribute to the church giving and management software that our customers rely on every day. You will be involved in supporting the existing features throughout Tithely, as well as developing new features. Additionally, you will help train and assist our aspiring engineers in code quality and best practices.

Primary Responsibilities of the Role
• Craft code in a way that meets our Tithe.ly coding standards and makes our products and services flexible, stable, and maintainable.
• Develop S.O.L.I.D. code to provide awesome features for our customers.
• Take ownership of code to ensure quality and efficiency across the team and organization.
• Build key frontend and backend features, integrating with internal and external APIs, end-to-end testing, code reviews and system planning.
• Attack tech debt with a vengeance.
• Offer novel solutions to solve our complex and evolving problems.

Customer Experience Support Specialist

Providing an excellent experience for our customers, your primary responsibility will be delivering answers to customer inquiries and helping troubleshoot various issues for a segment of Tithe.ly’s product suite by knowing the ins and outs of our product and having a solution-oriented mindset.
Primary Responsibilities of the Role
• Communicate directly with customers via live chat/phone service
• Craft and deliver excellent written/verbal communication that provides clarity and assistance to various customer software needs
• Teach and advise customers on the use of software products
• Troubleshoot through obstacles with customers by providing clear and/or alternative solutions leading to their end goals
• Track and report unintended software functioning through a process of replicating behaviors, documenting, and presenting to product/engineering teams for fixes
• Adapt and learn to be an expert quickly as new software and updates get pushed out frequently
• Brainstorm, create and help implement better and more efficient and effective processes for the team
• Other duties as assigned
