• Interacts and communicates with both clients and staff
• Utilizes various types of equipment and machinery including Transit van, golf cart, computer, printer, digital safe, vacuums, floor scrubbers, mop buckets, various table carts cleaning solution dispensers and other basic cleaning equipment
• Assists crew with transporting needs from one location to another
• Setting of buffets, beverage stations and guest tables.
• Assists in maintaining event spaces, equipment and concession areas including vacuuming, sweeping, wiping down surfaces, window cleaning, and mopping
• Comprehending floor diagrams
Candidates must be able to take direction, work independently, with a team and multi-task. Strong customer service and communication skills are a plus. • Identify mid-level and major gift prospects through donor research to predict a donor’s ability and likelihood to give. Maintains detailed records in the Zoo’s software system as well as in electronic files, and regularly reports to donors on how their gifts are creating the desired impact.
• Cultivate gift donations by building meaningful relationships with new, existing and potential donors. An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate our organization’s mission is key.
• Is knowledgeable about Toledo Zoo exhibits, activities, initiatives and programs so that donors can be engaged in the diversity of areas where they have a particular interest and the ability to provide financial support.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with funders as a representative of the Toledo Zoo. Maintains regular contact with existing and potential donors, in one-on-one meetings as well as social engagements at the Zoo or in the community.
