General Summary
As Content Strategist at TrainingPeaks, you will work as part of the Lifecycle Marketing Team to develop and execute digital marketing content strategies aimed at delighting and engaging with our current users.
You will oversee the creation and expansion of the company’s digital resources, such as newsletters, blogs, guides, videos, case studies, infographics, and coaching education content. You will work cross-functionally to find ways to surface content throughout the user journey and project manage various tests to find the best opportunities to present content to our users.
This role is expected to reflect expertise, autonomy, and self-direction in its approach to the responsibilities listed below. A Content Strategist should bring a combination of great writing, editing, and content marketing strategy skills, as well as a foundational knowledge of the topics we cover.

Core Functions
• Facilitate new ideas, tactics and strategies related to storytelling, content presentation and outreach.
• Take a data-driven approach to develop and execute lifecycle marketing content strategies that drive customer engagement from trial conversion through retention.
• Collaborate with creative and content stakeholders on the creation and planning of guides, promotional campaigns and blog articles, which may include writing, editing and sourcing content.
• Uphold content best practices and ensure the content we produce reflects the tone, voice, and goals of our customer segments.
• Work in collaboration with the partnerships team to leverage our connections to produce and promote content.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate content effectively throughout the user journey and product experience.
• Conduct content audits to ensure existing content is up-to-date, optimized, performing as expected and meets our high editorial standards.
• Work with the data team and content team to optimize our content marketing conversion paths.
• Assist the creative team with video strategy and production, when needed.
• Perform duties and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of journalism or related marketing experience
• Copyediting experience
• Strong understanding of content marketing and social media trends, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Proficiency in working with a CMS (e.g., WordPress)
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Analytics, Sigma and/or other analytics tools
• Strong understanding of SEO best-practices and trends

• Experience in performance sports.
• Experience using TrainingPeaks’ products and services.
• Servant leader approach with focus on needs of team and customer.
