Internal/External Job Description:
Join us as Composite Mechanic, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Los Angeles (CA), US and Greater Los Angeles area (San Bernardino, Riverside, Lancaster, and East Ventura). Note this position is Unionized and requires joining the Union organization.
This role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing rail equipment. The role is also responsible for repairs, replace and tests machinery, components and systems related to rail equipment under direction of engineering or other staff by performing mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Reviews and understand project/activity request, safety instructions, blueprints, schematic and diagram to ascertain test specification, procedures, objectives, nature of technical activity and possible solutions such as disassemble and replace, adjust or repair regarding the maintenance functions of both the locomotive and car equipment.
· Dismantle, assemble and replace new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as HVAC, brake, pneumatic system, propulsion equipment, truck and car body equipment and sub-system for trains so equipment can pass inspections.
· Analyze sub-system in order to meet design or rated specifications and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications in a timely fashion to meet customer train availability schedule and/or overhaul schedule.
· Records on appropriate report card or data sheet the activity performed by indicating all relevant information pertaining to the activity. Performs quality test and verification to insure safe performance of sub-assembly or component in order to properly report to the customer, governing agencies or for internal auditing purposes.
· Unplugging, cleaning and repairing toilets. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor based on train availability or repair schedule. Follows all Bombardier security and safety instructions or procedures in order to prevent any personal injuries and maintain a safe fleet that will meet the demands of a reliable commuter service.
· May be required to train and qualify as a class four train operator in order to move rail equipment within the yard limits. May be required to train and qualify for use of wheel truing machine.
· Additional tasks as assigned

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, comfortable and pleasant journey to our coach and sleeping car passengers. The Train Attendant can work either coach or sleeping cars. Coach Attendants will be required to keep assigned coaches clean for the duration of the trip, including maintenance of all restrooms. Sleeping Car Attendants will be required to offer passengers all first-class amenities, make beds, change linen and keep the restroom and shower area clean and sanitary for the duration of the trip. Must be willing to give special assistance to elderly and disabled passengers who are boarding and detraining. Will be responsible for assisting passengers who are boarding/detraining, including assistance with baggage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• This position will be responsible for performing dining car service and side work as directed by the Lead Service Attendant by providing a quality dining car experience for passengers in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
• Must load/unload supplies and maintain an inventory of supplies
• Must be available to work flexible schedules that include weekends and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Food and beverage handling experience.
• Cash handling and customer contact experience.
• Experience in housekeeping.
• Must be at least 21 years of age upon completion of classroom training (due to service of alcoholic beverages).
• Successfully complete a customer service aptitude testing instrument. Successfully complete drug screening and pre-employment medical exam.
• Must be able to lift heavy items.
• Must be able to work while standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a variety of hours and days off, including up to eight days away from home crew base.
• Demonstrate a friendly, outgoing, and courteous disposition.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• Carry out the test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per the delivery schedule
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performance measurement:CONQ (Cost of Non Quality) (internal & external to testing)
• EHS (Environment, Health, Safety): Zero Fatality and Severe Injuries
• Productivity
• Lead Time
• Customer acceptance before commissioning
Responsibilities:
• Understand in detail the Acceptance Criteria of the customer for the Project/Product.
• Carry out the systematic Hand Over from Manufacturing.
• Respect with rigor the test procedures.
• Ensure that all Serial Test Procedures are covered and the completion of test reports
• Manage the repair of failures as soon as they appear.
• Trace with precision and rigor each failure.
• In case of unsolved deviations, escalate to the Vehicle Lead Engineer
• Propose improvement of the process.
• Work in a team spirit and transparency with its shift and the other shift.
• Ensure Interface and perfect working relationship with: Test Engineering Technician, Industrial Quality.
• Escalate any non-up-to-date testing tools.
• Should be aware of their KPI’s and performance on the respective KPI’s.
• Complies with EHS procedures.

Educational Requirements
• Mandatory: Minimum license degree in engineering or equivalent
• Desirable: Associates Degree in Railway industry
Experience
• Mandatory: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
• Good level in English language
• Desirable: Good knowledge in IT tools and smart devices
Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
Competencies & Skills:
• Have a good technical level in electrical, electronic, mechanical and networks domains

Responsibilities:
• Understand in detail the Acceptance Criteria of the customer for the Project/Product.
• Carry out the systematic Hand Over from Manufacturing.
• Respect with rigor the test procedures.
• Ensure that all Serial Test Procedures are covered and the completion of test reports
• Manage the repair of failures as soon as they appear.
• Trace with precision and rigor each failure.
• In case of unsolved deviations, escalate to the Vehicle Lead Engineer
• Propose improvement of the process.
• Work in a team spirit and transparency with its shift and the other shift.
• Ensure Interface and perfect working relationship with: Test Engineering Technician, Industrial Quality.
• Escalate any non-up-to-date testing tools.
• Should be aware of their KPI’s and performance on the respective KPI’s.
• Complies with EHS procedures.
• Reports Deviations, Near-misses and Accidents.
Educational Requirements
• Mandatory: Minimum license degree in engineering or equivalent
• Desirable: Associates Degree in Railway industry
Experience
• Mandatory: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
• Good level in English language
• Desirable: Good knowledge in IT tools and smart devices
Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Protects and safeguards company assets and resources including personnel, property and customer’s property entrusted to the company.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Protects and safeguards company assets and resources including personnel, property and customer’s property entrusted to the company.
• Conduct proficient, sensitive corporate and criminal investigations, provide accurate, detailed reports and provide court testimony when required.
• Identify and properly handle trespassers on Company property and make arrests as appropriate.
• Counsels and advises company officials to reduce crime and accidents and improve security; coordinates response to railroad emergencies; supervises contract security guards and trains other employees on relevant matters.
• Perform aggressive crime prevention patrol of facilities, railroad property and trains, with special emphasis on TOFC/COFC, automobiles, and high value shipments.
• Perform other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have satisfactorily completed basic police training at a recognized state certified academy
• Must meet peace officer commissioning standards in state in which this job is posted and be commissioned as such and maintain a valid State Peace Office License in that state.
• Must meet BNSF Resource Protection Solutions Team standards as a Special Agent
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be willing and able to travel as required
• Must be able and willing to use the company’s computer system for creating reports and databases
• Must be physically and psychologically fit, able to successfully pass any required company evaluations and pass an extensive background investigation
• Must successfully complete any required company training for this position
• Must have broad knowledge of railroad industry and operations; particularly as it relates to handling emergency situations such as derailments, load securement, and like events
• Must have a broad knowledge of criminal law and procedures
• Must be able to successfully lead people, often in a stressful critical-event environment
• Must be able to meet any government or Company training and retention standards
• Must live or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of the assigned work location
• Eighteen months of successful experience as a full time peace officer with a city, county, state federal or railroad law enforcement agency required

The Systems Engineer II will work with various engineering team members, project management, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, our suppliers during various sub-systems development. Responsibilities:
• Help develop tracking sheet and action item list & hold weekly meetings.
• Coordinate & participate with sub-system testing, vehicle level development & integration testing.
• Participate in all sub-systems and systems integration activities with a focus on sub-system & system performance meeting the requirements.
• Work with Systems Integration Engineer in the conceptual, preliminary and final design for complex rail transit projects.
• Work with a team of engineers to provide systems engineering oversight for rail transit projects involving traction power, propulsion, braking, signaling and train control equipment, vehicle communication systems, and third rail and/or OCS poles.
• Responsible for providing technical direction and assuring the accuracy of the work produced by various vendor design team and contractors, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Discerns technical problems, plans solution paths, and coordinates tasks with other engineers of various disciplines and suppliers for efficient resolution.
• Coordinates technical activities with the project management groups.
• Interfacing with the others to ensure proper coordination of the systems aspects of the project.
• Ensures compliance of systems design with all applicable codes and regulations.
