The Program Management, Strategy & Transformation team is responsible for leading programs across the organization to execute Tripadvisor’s strategic plan. By implementing the PMO framework and building relationships with key stakeholders, program managers empower their teams to deliver programs in a consistent, measurable way with a focus on continuous improvement. The Principal Program Manager reports to the Associate Director of Program Management and is responsible for the coordination, progression, and successful delivery of complex, cross-functional programs that support Tripadvisor’s strategic plan.
In this role you will have exposure to many areas of the business and will influence a program’s vision and implementation. You will collaborate with teams including Product, Engineering, Commercialization, Marketing, Design, and User Research to structure and execute a program’s operational and strategic initiatives . You will work with key stakeholders to lead program needs including business planning, creation of a communication plan tailored to different levels of the org, and governance of risks and issues.
Job Location: Hybrid
This role is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per quarter in our Needham, MA office.
What You’ll Do
• Build a cohesive program using the PMO framework and drive best practices in the organization. Manage the program to deliver against the company's financial plan and make measurable progress against the company strategy. Ideally in a Consumer Tech/Digital Media Company.
• Manage a twice annual planning process to operationalize the program roadmap and business plan.
• Manage the execution and on-time delivery of key projects within the program.
• Develop and lead a robust communication plan including regularly scheduled meetings, written communications, and executive reporting dashboards.
• Use a structured approach to prioritize program needs considering factors such as business goals and resource constraints. Build relationships with program stakeholders and leadership to influence decisions and tradeoffs needed to drive program success.
• Develop and govern a risk & issue management plan to identify blockers and solutions needed to drive program delivery within deadlines.
Skills & Experience
• 4+ years experience as a Project or Program Manager or similar role.
• Exceptional program management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs through collaboration and communication.
• Experience implementing the PMO framework and related artifacts.
• Experience in managing stakeholders and building relationships with colleagues and partners, including senior leadership. Able to influence a team to make tradeoffs and prioritization decisions that help the business.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and matrixed environment.
• Excellent organization skills with rigorous attention to detail.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Ability to successfully lead meetings with a large number of stakeholders.
