Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (preferred degree in English and/or History); or minimum four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and various web browsers.
Duties Include:
• Provides polite and professional front desk presence, directing incoming phone calls to appropriate department or person.
• Responds to email and phone requests for information requiring knowledge of departmental activities.
• Assist the Administrative Director, Director of Corporate Events, and Membership Manager with a variety of tasks as needed including but not limited to mailing, writing, proof reading, and tracking.
• Serves as an internal resource to all departments on projects assigned and administered.
• Maintains and updates TSHA staff calendar.
• Print, copy and fax as needed.
• Sorts incoming mail for distribution to appropriate departments or persons.
• Fulfill orders related to membership, Legacy of Texas, and eBay.
• Assist with newsletter development and research
• Assist with social media and other marketing tasks
• Create and distribute membership emails
• Provides inventory control assistance for Legacy of Texas, TAMU and eBay.
• Completes miscellaneous administrative duties and/or errands that may include pick-ups in the Austin area.
• Completes other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Must have prior front office experience.
PC experience using word processing, email and internet applications.
Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Professional demeanor.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Compensation:
• Salary will be commensurate with education and/or professional experience.
• Benefits to include accrued vacation and sick leave, generous holiday schedule, 401(k) matching program, generous contribution to health, dental and vision policies, complimentary life insurance policy, ability to purchase increased life insurance policies.
Work Hours:
