The Opportunity
The Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure track lecturer position in the Counselor Education program, anticipated to begin Fall 2023. This position is located on the Orlando campus and summer teaching may be available.
The selected candidate will contribute to the Counselor Education program’s mission by teaching a variety of graduate level counseling courses, advising students, and supervising practicum and internship students. This position also includes some operational involvement with the Community Counseling Research Center.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with strong teaching, supervision, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications
By the time of appointment, the successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Counselor Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
The selected candidate must also have a specialization in one or more areas appropriate to the program’s degree offerings, be eligible for licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or School Counselor in the State of Florida, have experience in graduate-level teaching and supervision, and have experience conducting research.
Preferred Qualifications
• An earned doctorate from a CACREP-accredited doctoral program and/or meet core-faculty criteria as defined by CACREP.
• Experience working as a practicing professional counselor.
• Licensed or certified as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or School Counselor in the State of Florida.
• Experience in clinical supervision at the master’s or doctoral level.
• Ability to work effectively with linguistically, ethnically, or other diverse populations.
• Active membership(s) in professional organization(s).
• Evidence of leadership in professional counseling organizations.

The Opportunity
UCF is seeking to hire two (2) Maintenance Technician II positions. Positions # P-58199 and P-59200. The Maintenance Technician II position provides essential support for the operational maintenance and sanitation of campus in an effort to provide a safe, functional, clean, efficient and attractive living and learning environment. Then incumbent will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, providing service for and responding to requests from customers and staff.
Responsibilities
• Perform planned scheduled work or as assigned by the supervisor defined as preventive maintenance (PM). Conduct PM repair (PMR) which are repairs of defects found during a (PM or PDM). Planned work can be identified as part of the following skilled trades: Intermediate skill level with plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry. Maintain and repair plumbing equipment including but not limited to drinking fountains, faucets, toilets, drains, urinals, sinks, garbage disposal. Maintain and replace lighting components, outlets, switches, motors, pumps and compressors.
• Conduct corrective repairs in reaction to a user reporting issues to restore functionality.
• Repair and replace heating components, valves and soft water.
• Repair and maintain exhaust and supply air ventilators; maintain and replace filters, perform carpentry repairs to floors doors, windows and walls.
• Perform painting work to exterior and interior areas, equipment and building components.
• Perform Support work by assisting with work done by central shops, contractors, other zones and departments, or events on campus.
• Perform Routine work defined as recurring work that has no specific frequency and remains open for an explicit amount of time.
• Complete work orders in timely manner and report any condition needing attention.

Completion of an approved apprenticeship program for multiple trades and 3 years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Flexible for utilization by trade with most urgent requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use various electrical meters and construct and install power supplies.
• Demonstrated experience with operation and powered drain-cleaning machine.
• Knowledgeable of water and gas shut-off points.
• Painting knowledge and skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate in conversational English to: work effectively with customers and team members; operate electronic equipment (iPod Touch for AiM PM checkpoints); comprehend standard safety procedures and utilize telecommunication devices.
• Demonstrated capabilities in: interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, calculation, reading, evaluating, comprehension and organizing.

The Opportunity:

UCF’s Finance Business Centers (FBCs) provide the first point of contact support for employees across the university’s various colleges and divisions. The Travel Coordinator arranges business travel for university employees, assists in identifying the most cost-effective and efficient travel arrangements, ensures university travel rules are followed, and makes necessary reservations for accommodations. Post-trip, the Travel Coordinator assists with the collection, review, and processing of the documentation required to support expense reports to ensure prompt and accurate reimbursement of approved expenses. Travel Coordinators will ensure all expense card transactions are allowable, required documentation is provided and transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner. They are also tasked with coordinating with Travel Specialists in kNEXT to ensure full visibility and resolution of issues. This role also supports end-user communications and training efforts.

• Review and analyze contracts and pricing agreements, exceptional purchases, Waiver of Competition, and Sole Source Certifications in accordance with college/division processes, university policy, and regulations.
• Acts as a liaison between college/division staff, general counsel, and the vendor on the development of contractual agreements.
• Make procurement card purchases for college/division needs.
• Manage purchase orders, expense authorizations, invoice receipts, and invoice payments.
• Initiate change orders to purchase orders.
• Add and/or validate Worktags to verify appropriateness for acquisition.
• Perform receiving in Workday.
• Initiate RMAs with suppliers and coordinate returns, as required.
• Support the management and tracking of college/division assets and inventory.

This position must be available 24/7 in case of an emergency and may be asked to work during emergency situations including early, late, weekend, holiday hours and/or university closures such as during a hurricane, since UCF IT is considered a “mission essential” component of UCF’s operational capability.Additionally, a person in this position may be asked to work a flexible schedule that includes non-traditional hours to preform essential job functions that cannot be performed during “normal” business hours.
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
