Role Summary...
We are looking for highly motivated, customer-centric individuals with a passion for technology to drive brand-wide improvements. This is a unique customer support role that involves a dynamic mix of hands-on product testing, pre-sales support, post-sales support, and proposing new UI/UX changes to reduce incoming support volume.
In an effort to rethink the IT industry, we want our technology to be accessible to everyone without the need for support and consultation from certified experts . As such, this role will focus heavily on leveraging incoming support requests to identify opportunities for improvement. This may consist of suggesting mechanical design changes to solve common deployment challenges, resolving customer confusion or perceived dead-ends via intuitive UI/UX messaging, or optimizing website/store content to provide important pre-sales education.
We do not expect applicants to have deep knowledge of networking nor the UniFi platform, however we expect candidates to be self-driven and excited to learn about our products selling points and major applications to ensure we can pinpoint areas that can be made more user-friendly.
Check out ui.com for more information on our company and products.
Description
In this role, you will be expected to:
• Be the first point of contact for our users, meeting each with a personalized action plan that not only resolves their issue, but provides a larger context of its origin and impact. We strive to ensure that each user leaves their support interaction with a deeper understanding of their own technology.
• Explain the UniFi ecosystem to customers and assist with basic product selection.
• Provide post-sales support for designated products: Wireless Technologies, Routing & Switching, Security & VPNs, Security Cameras, VoIP Phones, and Door Access Systems.
• Perform hands-on testing with provided homelab equipment to identify potential UX dead-ends, reproduce known ones, and use insights from each to propose areas of improvement.
• Work with key stakeholders to implement and perfect proposed improvements.
• Stay up to date on the latest Ubiquiti products and features, particularly those receiving a lot of attention and feedback on various social media platforms.
Role Requirements
• A passion for technology and an eye for detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment
• The ability to take initiative and work independently on multiple objectives simultaneously
• Excellent judgment when evaluating the things that influence a good customer or user experience.
