The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in a relevant academic area (a master’s degree is required), experience working in a behavioral health setting, previous college-level teaching experience, and a commitment to serving and advising a diverse student body. Candidates with a combination of the aforementioned characteristics are encouraged to apply and will be considered.

A counselor should also strive to provide an excellent recruitment experience for students and families.
Duties include:
• Regular overnight travel to college fairs and high school visits
• Representing UJ at college fairs and visits in a professional manner
• Representing UJ at different events throughout the year that may come up
• Scheduling the above visits and travel plans for the season
• Maintaining regular contact with students throughout the admissions cycle
