Responsibilities*

Customer Service
• Respond to inquiries from the website, phone calls and other online event services
• Provide venue tours to potential clients

Manage Events at UM-Flint
• Schedule events, pre-event planning, pricing, on-site event management, setup/takedown
• Prepare rental agreements
• Collect, process and track payments for external events
• Prepare event diagrams for clients and event staff
• Communicate and enforce university policies
• Inspect building facilities and equipment, process work orders and follow up
• Provide problem resolution and customer service with facility users

CAREER COUNSELING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR STUDENTS
• Encourage employers to recruit campus graduates.

Required Qualifications*
• Bachelor's degree, in relevant discipline.
• Three years or more experience in working in career development, talent development, recruiting or related field.
• Demonstrated project management skills: ability to establish priorities and objectives; to gather, classify, categorize, and readily retrieve information to meet deadlines; and clearly communicate with project stakeholders and participants with complementary attention to detail.

About our Company

CampusReel democratizes the college search process by crowdsourcing student-made videos from hundreds of college campuses. Our videos are authentic and honest - we allow current college students to tell their campus story with 1-5 minute videos capturing campus life. As a marketing intern, you will be responsible for raising awareness both on campus and in the high school community about CampusReel primary products and services. Our team will train you on marketing fundamentals, communication practices and skills, and expose you to other components of a high-growth startup.

Through this flexible, part-time role you will help current high school students feel more confident in their college search and selection process, work closely with one of education’s most exciting tech startups, and earn a little extra income.

The College of Innovation & Technology (CIT) at the University of Michigan-Flint seeks a well-qualified and highly motivated individual to serve as the Graduate Program Manager. This position will report to the Director of CIT Student Affairs. This position serves as the primary point of contact for students and faculty regarding the policies and procedures of graduate programs within CIT.

The individual selected for this position will independently coordinate and manage all aspects of CIT graduate programs including, but not limited to -
• Marketing and recruitment
• Welcoming and onboarding new students
• Advising and student management
• The development, implementation, and coordination of program events
• Tracking student records and ensure milestones are met
• Serveing as the CIT liaison with campus partners such as the Registrar’s Office
• Creatively contribute to continuous improvement in the areas noted above and develop a good rapport with the Graduate Programs Committee

Graduate Program Support
• Manage program inquiries and responses
• Communicate with students and program faculty regarding major related milestones and degree completion
• Manage application files, preparing data for the Graduate Programs Committee or faculty meetings
• Plan and implement recruitment events
• Lead orientation sessions and ensure a successful transition for matriculating graduate students
• Maintain tracking data for current graduate students and alums through a number of internal spreadsheets and databases
• Maintain accurate student records
• Report on various aspects of the graduate programs to the College of Innovation & Technology, or external entities
• Work closely with supervisor and Graduate Program Directors to monitor student progress and review program needs or changes, and participates in and provides guidance for the Graduate Programs Committee

Administrative Support
• Maintain office service to faculty, students, staff, and other community members
• Advise graduate students on course selection, graduation requirements, co-curricular opportunities, and student rights/responsibilities
• Review, troubleshoot, and resolve graduate student concerns
• Assist in the management of CIT Graduate Research Assistants
• Communicate with faculty and other administrators as needed
• Serve as a campus partner with academic departments, schools, colleges, or administrative units
• Participate in opportunities such as committees, task forces, working groups, etc.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous learning
• Bachelor's' degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and direct relevant experience
• Three or more years experience working in an academic department or student services role such as advising, study abroad, or other related program manager role
• High level proficiency in Microsoft Suite software, Adobe Acrobat, Google applications, web editing, Zoom, and demonstrated motivation to find and use new software to enhance department projects.
• A strong appreciation and enjoyment of working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Experience with collecting, analyzing and reporting complex data
• Knowledge of F1 Visa regulations
