Upon initial appointment, responsibilities will entail teaching a range of creative writing courses including introductory and advanced creative writing workshops, craft-based literature courses, publishing courses, and graduate courses. The Assistant Professor will direct and read MFA and BFA theses, mentor graduate teaching assistants, and serve on departmental committees. All curricula should emphasize diversity. Secondary expertise in US Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) and/or queer literatures will be given preference. The Video Technician provides assistance for online video
production, including face-to-face and online support of faculty

The Video Technician provides assistance for online video
production, including face-to-face and online support of faculty
and staff, specializing in the areas of instructional video
production, media production, and video recording and editing. This
position is in a fast-paced, growing environment. This position
works with faculty and staff from every college within UNCW .
Duties include:
• Creating (shooting, producing, and editing) various
instructional videos as requested across campus.
• Assisting in the daily operations of two video recording
studios.
• Assisting in maintaining and operations of DEeL’s instructional
video production equipment.
• Assisting in the production of instructional-based field
videography (on-location) shoots as requested.
• Creating academic video graphics and infographics for specific
faculty and staff as needed.
• Collaboration with ITS for technical and online issues
concerning UNCW’s video playback system.
• Providing excellent customer service skills and abilities as a
representative of DEeL to maintain and expand DEeL’s relationships
with the various academic units.
• Assisting in tracking data analytics for DEeL reporting in the
area of instructional video creation, usage, and duration.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Program Manager manages Employer Development, as well as the
CIP internship program through UNCW’s Career Center and
collaborates with other Team Members to plan events, research,
collect, and analyze data, and support outreach.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. All degrees
