In this role, you will play a crucial part in taking our Database Platform for AI capabilities to new heights. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions, owning end-to-end project delivery, and advocating best practices in... database usage and system architecture.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement scalable distributed system solutions for our Database Platform.
• Analyze requirements, identify optimal solutions, and translate them into robust and efficient code.
• Lead projects from inception to production rollout, ensuring a seamless and safe delivery process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design effective solutions, and drive successful implementation.
• Understand the trade-offs between consistency, durability, and costs in distributed systems.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience with designing, building, and supporting database platforms
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or JavaScript
• Understanding of AI concepts and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Candle, etc.)
• Experience developing and delivering software with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems infrastructure supporting stateful services
• Experience in container orchestration, cluster management, or autoscaling.
• Excellent understanding of operating systems concepts, including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance and scale.
• Systems programming skills, including multi-threading, concurrency, etc. Fluency in Go, Rust, etc, are a bonus.
• Solid understanding of the internals of Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenShift, or other container platforms
• Track record of delivering highly complex projects in the distributed systems space
• Intense curiosity, willingness to question and passion for making systems better
• Experience developing applications with distributed, “big data” storage technologies such as Hadoop (HDFS), Cassandra, etc.
• Experience developing applications with scalable key-value stores such as FoundationDB, RocksDB/LevelDB, DynamoDB, Redis, etc.
