At Upsolve AI, we serve as the catalyst and facilitator for high-growth technology companies and startups. Our mission is to ensure that a business's aspirations are never hindered by their analytics capabilities. We empower them to swiftly deliver customer-facing analytics and reporting, enabling them to focus on their core offerings and the essentials of their business. With our AI... technology, we provide instant answers to data queries for our customers' users.
As a Y Combinator-backed (W24) early-stage tech startup, Upsolve AI boasts support from unicorn founders such as the co-founder of Airtable and Handshake, alongside leading venture investors like General Catalyst, Samsung Next Ventures, Soma Capital, and others. Having successfully launched our beta version to our initial customer base, we're now in the process of expanding our product to meet the needs of our growing customer list. Come join us as we continue to push the boundaries and expand our product offerings and customer base at a rapid pace.
The Founding Team
Ka Ling Wu, Co-founder & CEO of Upsolve AI, led product solution development at nPlan, a Series A AI & Construction tech startup, before founding Upsolve. Her tenure at nPlan focused on client expansion. Prior to that, she spent four years at Palantir where she managed client engagements, stakeholder relationships, and spearheaded the creation of Palantir's HyperAuto product as well as the opening of Palantir’s Korea market. Outside of Upsolve, Ka Ling plays rugby and does Crossfit. As a fun fact, she represented the Swiss rugby team. She claims to speak 6 languages, but none perfectly.
Serguei Balanovich, Co-founder & CTO of Upsolve AI, spent seven years at Palantir before co-founding Upsolve. Serguei pioneered early Supply Chain and Manufacturing commercial work and later productized this work into Palantir HyperAuto. Besides software, Serguei enjoys puzzles, board games, and teaching.
Together, we have over 15 years of experience in data engineering and analytics. We took Palantir's Hyperauto from inception to launch, scaled the product to serve more than 50 enterprise customers in less than 2.5 years, and generated eight figures in revenue. We started building Upsolve AI in October 2023 and have recently graduated from Y Combinator W24.
The Opportunity
As the senior full-stack engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping Upsolve AI's technical direction. You'll gain hands-on experience building our early product. Our customer-obsess culture means you'll interact directly with our customers and users. It's essential that you can develop a 0-1 product with exceptional UI/UX. As we grow, you will guide the architectural roadmap that lays the foundation for the Upsolve AI platform. Your technical leadership will be crucial in supporting and growing our engineering and product teams.
Your first 12 months at Upsolve AI will involve...
• Building and leading the delivery of specific verticals of the Upsolve AI platform and deploying it at scale to our growing customer list.
• Collaborating with the team to strategize and evolve the business.
• Influencing new product and feature design while defining a long-term technical strategy aligned with industry best practices.
• Designing and implementing platform integrations with outside APIs, partners, and cloud infrastructure.
What you bring to Upsolve AI:
• 3+ years of experience across front-end and back-end development.
• Great product sense, ability to reason through what good product looks like, independently
• Proficiency in end-to-end TypeScript (TypeORM, React, Express).
• A design sensibility with a leaning towards front-end development.
• Experience in building a product from scratch.
• Proficiency in building various API integrations quickly.
• Familiarity with modern open-source data integration tools (Supabase, Airbyte, Spark).
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders and users. Comfortable leading and managing an engineering team.
What we value and what’s in it for you?
• At Upsolve AI, we operate like a high-performance sports team. We embrace the reality that hard work is required for success. However, when we sprint together, not only do we win games, but we will also go far and win championships. And when we win, we all share in the prize.
• We despise bureaucracy and redundant processes. Everyone at Upsolve AI is a builder. We all roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty, and make magic happen daily.
• We value ownership and trust. We believe the person closest to the problem should have the greatest authority to solve it. Consequently, when you identify a problem, you define the solution and build it. This approach allows you to work directly with the founders, and the only limit to your growth is the one you set.
• We believe each team member possesses a unique strength. We form our team based on how these unique spikes from each member compound. As a result, we strive to ensure you work on things that you not only excel at but also highly passionate about.
Additional:
• Salary range of £80k-110k / 0.5-1.25% equity (depending on experience and salary/equity package).
• Opportunity to work with an elite team of entrepreneurs and engineers.
• Take-what-you-need holiday policy. We know building a startup is hard work and can be intense. We want you to have the full agency to take breaks and rest when you need to, and to maintain a work-life balance.
Location: Our office is in central London. We prefer to all work together face to face when possible because we believe that’s how magic happens. We do highly value flexibility and understand there are times in which working from home is preferred. With that said, we don’t mind if you work from home one or two days a week.
Note. We are currently only looking for candidates who are based in London and we are not able to sponsor UK work visa at the moment Show more details...
