USADA recruits retired USADA Testing Pool Athletes who embody USADAs core values, are passionate about clean sport, are comfortable with public speaking, and have a willingness to learn. This program also affords opportunities for athletes after the field of play, often helping athletes assimilate to the work force once competitive sport is no longer their primary career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver anti-doping education to athletes and athlete support personnel through webinars, face-to-face education, and/or booths at events
• Travel either on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on availability and schedule of events and/or presentations on behalf of USADA

• Support the Education team in the development of educational content and messaging

• Use proper patient identification to avoid mistakes that can affect the collection.
• Establish rapport with the client, while maintaining professionalism.
• Enforce infection control processes at all times that you are working with equipment or athletes.
• Ensure that phlebotomy supplies are stocked and organized prior to seeing athletes.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• National Phlebotomy certification from one of the following accredited agencies.

REPORTS TO: Olympic & Paralympic Counsel FLSA: Non-Exempt
INTERN SUMMARY: Responsible for providing support for investigation and prosecution of anti-doping rule violations and contributing to development of internal policies and procedures by conducting research, preparing documents, and other tasks as assigned.
OBJECTIVES: With this internship, you will gain a mentor, have the ability to complete a resume building project based on your interests and goals in coordination with supervising staff at USADA, and learn about the rules and regulations related to anti-doping in sport.
TERMS:
One internship is available for Summer 2023, from mid-May through mid-August
Applications are due by January 6th.
This is a paid internship $14-$18/hour and allows school credit
General hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm
1L applicants must supplement applications with complete fall semester grades once available
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Legal Student
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong record of academic achievement

Ability to work with various levels of management
Ability to multitask and to work accurately under pressure
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to perform in a team environment

Desire to work in athletics and sport after graduation
Previous experience in sport is preferred but not required

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for various tasks related to conducting Doping Control in the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accept, plan and manage doping control test assignments
• Recruit, train and oversee Chaperones
• Witness sample collection or overseeing the witnessing of the Sample Collection Process
• Drive to various locations to perform urine and/or blood collections
• Process athlete Samples according to USADA's protocol and procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation/completion of the Doping Control Process
• Ship processed Samples to the specified WADA certified laboratory
• Submit all Sample Collection Documentation to USADA
• Assist in the recruitment and training of Doping Control Officer candidates identified by USADA
• Accountable to the most current version(s) of the DCO Manual, Sample Collection Documentation and other training resources
• Participate in DCO evaluation and support program
• Collect Samples on behalf of other agencies when requested by USADA
• Ensure adequate control of Document, Record and Sample Collection Equipment
GENERAL:
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Have no affiliation with sample collection organizations outside of USADA
• Keep USADA aware of issues in the field and/or any conflicts of interest
• Recommend necessary updates and revisions to USADA protocol and procedures as related to Doping Control
