You will be expected to report and write compelling news and feature stories, using data to spot trends and inform narratives.
Primary day-to-day responsibilities will include a mix of researching, writing and editing about various topics such as politics and policy, health, education and the economy.
The ability to handle multiple short-term and longer-term assignments, while meeting tight deadlines, is key.
In addition, this role will collaborate with others across the organization to support production, audience development and other efforts.
You should be comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex data and describing the results in a way that is understandable to a general audience.

Minimum Requirements:

This is a position where you’ll work closely with the sales, marketing and developers, plus liaise with advertisers and creative agencies to produce beautiful, functional content that aligns advertisers’ objectives with the goals of the U.S. News audience.
This person must have a keen, evolving eye for design, coupled with sensitivity to user needs and behaviors. Strong organizational and communication skills, plus attention to detail are imperative, as is the ability to multitask and meet deadlines consistently. Some understanding of coding is necessary.
Responsibilities Include
• Working hand-in-hand with the BrandFuse team on proposing and producing compelling storytelling concepts in a timely manner.
• Visualizing engaging content in response to the KPIs of U.S. News & World Report advertisers and overall industry benchmarks.
• Developing concepts for data visualization, infographics, art or motion graphics and assisting in bringing them to life.
• Consulting with advertisers on the best UX practices: From images, graphics, fonts, sizes and page flow and function.
• Producing approved concept pages in Webflow, then uploading and publishing those pages to our servers.
• Tracking, analyzing, reporting on and optimizing the performance of visual components of sponsored content campaigns.
• Working with the account management, AdOps, sales strategy and IT teams as needed to clarify requirements and solve design challenges.
• Creating wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, specifications and other UI design documents for sales proposals and meetings.
