Job Summary
UT Tyler University Academy (UTTUA) is an open-enrollment charter school, serving students in Tyler, Longview, and Palestine. We utilize Project and Problem Based Learning models with a STEM focus. The classroom teacher will provide instruction to students both face-to-face through project-based learning and online. The teacher will be supported by a Campus Director, University Academy Central Office Administrators, Professional Development Specialists, and university faculty. Teachers will be expected to participate in graduate level work, and those teachers not currently holding a master’s degree will be expected to be enrolled in a program as part of the compensation package. The position will be a 9-month university appointment, predicated on performance, enrollment, and continued successful operations of the charter school.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
• Direct instruction of students.
• Curriculum development and lesson planning.

• Communication and outreach.
• Assist with other campus activities/duties as needed; Breakfast/Lunch duty, Pick up duty, etc.

Salary is based on an approved HB3 Salary Schedule. Dependent on start date, the salary will be prorated according to the number of school days remaining.

UT Tyler University Academy at Longview Campus is looking to build a pool of candidates for bus drivers. As openings become available, applicants will be selected for interviews. The employee will be on an as-needed basis, not to exceed 19.5 per week, for the instructional days defined by the UTTUA school. This position is responsible for the safe operation of University vehicles and excellent customer service to passengers.

• Drive and operate University school/shuttle buses and other vehicles on assigned routes.
• Provide service to charter school students, employees, and visitors.
• Check condition of vehicles and report needed adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain mileage reports.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.
• Occasional evening and/or weekend assignments may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Air Brake, Passenger (P), and School Bus (S) Endorsements.
• Must pass a Driver's license history check and criminal background check.
• Must pass a drug test prior to employment and will be subject to reasonable cause and random alcohol and drug testing during employment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two (2) years of commercial driving experience including a minimum of one (1) year of experience driving a passenger/school bus.

Object Photography
• Provide digital photography and scanning services in compliance with industry standards to document collections materials, including all manner of works on paper, paintings, three-dimensional objects, and installations.
• Utilize Photoshop/Lightroom etc. to perform post-production processes (e.g. image correction, digital retouching, etc.) as requested.
Digital Asset Management
• Will record, create, and manage descriptive and administrative metadata for digital objects following metadata cataloging practices in an accurate manner.
• Work with Collections, Print Room, and other staff to implement safe, efficient, and effective workflows for creating, editing, and managing archival digital images and derivatives.
• Help organize and maintain institutional image archive.
Object Handling and Preparation

The Collection Photographer is responsible for photographing/digitizing BMA collection objects for research, documentation, exhibition, and publication and for managing the digitized collection files. The Photographer will coordinate digitization priorities with staff members and schedule movements and preparations in coordination with technical staff. They will fulfill internal and external image requests, perform proactive digitization, and sustain and enhance the BMAs role as a university partner by improving access to BMAs collections and supporting its educational mission.*-*

• Responsibilities*
Object Photography
• Provide digital photography and scanning services in compliance with industry standards to document collections materials, including all manner of works on paper, paintings, three-dimensional objects, and installations.
• Utilize Photoshop/Lightroom etc. to perform post-production processes (e.g. image correction, digital retouching, etc.) as requested.
Digital Asset Management
• Will record, create, and manage descriptive and administrative metadata for digital objects following metadata cataloging practices in an accurate manner.
• Work with Collections, Print Room, and other staff to implement safe, efficient, and effective workflows for creating, editing, and managing archival digital images and derivatives.
• Help organize and maintain institutional image archive.
Object Handling and Preparation
• Practice safe object handling methods when handling collection materials; maintain security of collection materials and alert appropriate Collections staff to any preservation or conservation concerns identified during digitization process.
• Will coordinate with other technical staff to pull works from storage facilities and safely transport to the photography studio and will report all location changes to Collections and Print Room staff as required.
• Will coordinate with Matter and Framer as needed to prepare object for photography, i.e. de-framing or re-housing.
Exhibition Documentation
• Responsible for photographing exhibition installations as assigned for press images or archival documentation.
General
• Represents the museum with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Adheres to museum policies supporting management decisions in a positive, professional manner, and works collaboratively with all staff.
• Maintains confidentiality within and outside the museum.
• Ability to meet production, quality control, and metadata requirements and consistently meet deadlines.
• *Required Qualifications*
• Graduation from high school or GED and commercial training in photography.
• Three years of experience in darkroom and related photographic work.
• Relevant photographic and scanning experience, including studio photography and knowledge of studio lighting techniques.
• Knowledge of art handling and best practices.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Microsoft Suite and standard scanning software.
• Working knowledge of digital asset management software and collection management systems preferred.
• Ability to assess priorities, work well under pressure; manage time efficiently, analyze and solve problems independently and if necessary, collaboratively.
• Must be able to visually inspect artwork.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long period of time.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
