THE INTERNSHIP:

The Video Production Intern will partner with Studio42 peers in completing both production and post-production tasks. With several upcoming projects, this is a unique opportunity to gain experience working on content for internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Contribute to the production of our Insider Risk curriculum, proactive educational videos, reactive corrective videos, and assorted internal/company event video projects
• Assist with production tasks including studio staging and lighting, working on studio shoots, and preparing/collecting files for post-production
• Execute post-production tasks such as editing videos from draft-to-final, performing color correction and audio cleanup, and creating motion graphics
• Own assigned individual projects and be responsible for final output

We are seeking an experienced and talented Video Editor with a sense of humor to join our growing organization. This person will help us create intentional and compelling video content for social media and video platforms while ensuring consistency in all video content with the brand’s identity. This person will work... closely with the Creative, Marketing and Editorial team. The successful candidate is a talented editor, videographer and writer who is proficient in social media content creation, video production and post-production process. They are also a great storyteller who understands how to bring brand identities to life through video.

About the Role
• Ideate, execute, and facilitate the production and post-production of short form video assets, including:
• Social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
• Organic TikTok videos
• Author interviews as part of our Virtual Book Tour podcast promotions on Instagram and TikTok
• TV commercials, interviews and other video content
• Shoot, produce, edit, retouch and color correct the video content described above.
• Create animated motion graphic assets for video content
• Planning video production to assist with season campaigns
• Incorporate feedback from key stakeholders, deliver edits quickly and iteratively, and pivot direction when necessary

About You
• 3+ years of experience in video content creation or branded video post-production at a consumer-facing brand or agency
• Proven proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects
• Demonstrated ability in adapting to brand voices and visual identities for social media post creation
• Demonstrated ability to manage video projects from ideation to production, through post-production and delivery.
• Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative feedback to create content to support business objectives
• Experience in DaVinci Resolve strongly preferred
• Experience in animation strongly preferred
• You like to iterate to achieve the best outcomes
• You have experience working with DTC brands
• You love books and reading!

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our busy production team. As the lead video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded video and still footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the Brand Team.

To ensure success as the Video Editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques and software, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch video editor can perfectly translate a director's idea into a beautifully crafted film or video piece, worthy of multi-channel distribution.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Meet with the project director to determine production vision
• Review raw material to determine the shot list
• Manipulate photo and video footage using modern editing techniques
• Manipulate continuity while moving shots according to scene value
• Trim footage and put together the rough project for team review
• Insert dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects to enhance the final product
• Ensure the project follows a logical sequence
• Consult with the project director and production team throughout post-production process to ensure consistency of vision to final deliverable
• Create the final asset for distribution

Minimum Qualifications
• 2-3 years previous work experience as a video editor required
• Formal editing training and education strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with current editing software, including but not limited to Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier
• Familiarity with story sequencing and color correction
• Portfolio of completed film/video productions

• Creative and artistic skills
• Self-motivated to complete projects on a tight schedule
• Ability to translate ideas into complete projects
• Strong communication skills
