This position will require you to work some weekends. The hours will range from 12-18 hours per week. During Training Camp, expect to work 6 days a week with over 40hrs per week.

• Digitize assets including but not limited to, photographic prints, slides, Vikings publications and works on paper.
• Use proper archival preservation techniques to house and store assets.
• Assist with asset and research requests.
• Create finding aids to assist with future archival requests.
• Assist with curation of exhibits and displays upon demand.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Enrolled in an archival, library, information science or related program.
• Strong research skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and ask questions.

• Use museum and archival best practices for handling, storing, and preserving assets.

• Experience working with copiers, scanners, digital media such as CDs, online catalogs, as well as computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities
• Provide on-the-job training and/or mentoring to apprentices, helpers, and laborers you are working with.
• Understand and perform switching procedures to isolate and insulate underground power lines.
• Splice and terminate underground power lines following proper procedures, cable pull, underground pad mount, locate faults, excavation and set splice boxes.
• Set and work on underground transformers and other devices.
• Properly phase and mark or tag underground equipment.
• Function as a senior hands-on employee working on or around energized lines.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications Visualize two dimensional drawings in three dimensions
• Regarding the portion of the work assigned, develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications and plan, lay-out, diagram, and install equipment
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat for 10-hour workdays, with breaks. During storms you may have to work 10 to 15 hours daily, breaks included.
